Our stay at the Resolution Hotel was a very pleasant one.The hotel is furnished to a very high standard, clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This was our first stay in the Resolution and can definitely say that it will be our first choice for future visits to whitby. Thank you very much for a lovely few days.

This hotel is an absolute favorite of ours we have returned again, and will in the future use this hotel when we are in Whitby. The staff are welcoming and friendly always happy to help. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, good location, good value for money, and a very nice breakfast. Parking, given the location of a very busy seaside town, was not an issue, and the staff explained the slightly convoluted council system very clearly.

This is more about Whitby that the hotel: Parking sux. There is literally nowhere [legally] to stop and unload your car. All double-yellows. That said you likely will find a spot for an hour within lugging distance of Reception but beware: Parking uses the Disk-time system. You must mark your arrival time using a disk-thingy; which of course we didn't have not even understand. Reception gave me one [free] and a quick dash back to car avoided an inevitable fine. The hotel can assist you with a special ticket system which will allow you to park your car on certain street zones; free IF you can find a spot. That was quite hard to do, and you soon notice lot of other Whitby-traveler cars trying to do the same! If you can arrive without a car, that would be ideal. I guess you could use the park-n-ride service; but with luggage I'm, thinking that would be a pain.

Whitby is stunning - but parking anywhere in Whitby is very difficult. The hotel itself is great. Well located, clean, great staff, great food. Somewhere you would stay at and walk from. We had all our meals here; and they were all outstanding. Staff were great, friendly.

Only the door closers where a bit harsh and slammed shut . I.e. noise from corridors .

Room was rather hot and not very well ventilated, though fans were provided so Id assume this is a known issue. I personally found pillows and mattress to be too hard, however was fine for my husband, so down to personal preference. Parking is limited.

Stayed here for our honeymoon and was very impressed. Room was clean and well presented, complimentary biscuits/tea/coffee, staff were really helpful and polite, breakfast was included and very nice. Location was good- easy to get to the harbour. Our room had a fish tank which was a lovely feature- the lights were on a timer so didn't disturb our sleep. Eye mask and ear plugs were also provided
