Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOnly couple of things which seems to come up most places we stay, cheap loo seat that's always loose and poor shower pressure.
Great location, room was all we needed, given fresh towels for each day, kitchen facilities if needed. Parking easy. Swift and easy check in and check out.

Mary and Nellie welcomed us so well. We were celebrating a 70th birthday. 8 of us .transport to town so easy and staff at Rathmore couldn't have been more helpful. Basic clean accommodation and the best was an Irish music night on our last night.Great memories made.would definitely recommend 👌

DenmarkThis time the room was ice cold when we arrived and even after the heater was switched on it never became warm, the heater was cold the most of the time. Brrr.. Christmas eve after midnight a private party was going on downstairs at the pub, the music was so loud and impossibly to stay at our room , it was going on to very late and not before I went down for complaining it stopped.
It's very near the train station and the room was clean. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I have often used The Rathmore for a weekend or more.

It is a short way to the rail station and a 20 min. walk to the city center. the rooms are very clean and neat. The staff are very helpsome and familiar kind. It is a bonus with the shared kitchen . The area is close to shops as Tesco, so it is easy to make your own food if you like. I always stay at Rathmore when i am in Cambridge.

United KingdomWe were given the wrong room and had to ask another group to swap that were given ours by mistake, thankfully they were OK to do so. Someone burnt their toast at 8:30am Sunday so fire alarm ensured no lie in ! Shower very very weak and a decent loo seat needed !
Decent space and beds very comfy. Perfect location for station and stroll into town. Parking spaces also good. Decent pint of Guiness in bar. Kitchen and lounge space handy if staying more than a couple of days.

CroatiaThe bathroom wasn't clean and the ceiling above the shower was mouldy. The furniture in my room (with two single beds) was very outdated and the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke.
There's a hostel-like feeling to The Rathmore, with a shared kitchen, lounge and bathrooms. Due to my flight being late, I arrived in the middle of the night but was left a key and the map of the premises, which was very kind of the owner. I needed the map since there are about nine rooms at The Rathmore and it's not easy to find your way around in the dark, at 1am. :-) The location is quite central, it takes about half an hour on foot to reach the town's pedestrian zone, and about 15 minutes to the train station. Although it's above the pub, it was very quiet at night (that being said, I was there on a week night).

DenmarkSome of the showers have a low pressure and sometimes it's a bit noisy because of the road. But it's really nothing.

SloveniaThere is a common kitchen where you can prepare your own meal ( if you want). Unfortunately some other guests were leaving dirty. ( luckily cleaning maids also fixed that part ) :-)
We had a big flight delay and lovely girl in the pub waited for us to arrive and also kept the pub open to have a pint before sleep. Staff was really nice and friendly and since we had a late departure we could leave our bags in the room until late afternoon.
