The hotel has been upgraded and is in need of further upgrade as it’s a little tired and dated in places. The access from the carpark is not easy with cases / bags although there is a stair lift.

The hotel is well located for going into the town and accessing the harbour and heliport. The rooms are clean and the food is good. The staff are largely very friendly.

The location of the property was excellent with our room overlooking the water. Our room was clean and comfortable with all the necessary inclusions. The breakfast was very good, with a cold selection followed by a home cooked meal. Free parking for our car was included.

Our room was light, airy, clean larger than expected and with a sea view. Bed comfortable. I loved the grandeur of the staircase, what a shame part of it had to be lost due to fire regulations. Queens met our expectations and location was ideal for the Cornish Pirates Rugby Club and sea front. Our car was safe and secure in the hotel’s car park - a real plus point when parking is a premium in seaside locations.

The furbishment is apparently aged though still functioning. The curtain almost dropped when we adjusted it. The mattress was quite soft. Breakfast was fixed menu so worth checking ahead of booking.

Choices of breakfast. Room with sea view. Hotel is just opposite of the sea. Size of the twin room - it is large. Vintage style - nice for holiday stay and Instagram.

    Shame we couldn't stay longer!

The perfect weather made breakfast in the dining room heavenly. Gazing out onto the crystal clear calm sea whilst eating a hearty breakfast and sipping tea, a fabulous start to the day. Also the staff were wonderful, friendly and helpful.

There was only 1 spare outlet for plugging in electronics in the room, and it was In an awkward position for charging the phone. The wardrobe took up a lot of space next to the bed, so something narrower would be better. The WiFi was a bit spotty in the hotel and dropped frequently while I was using it.

The location of the hotel is lovely being right on the coast. The meals were good and there was a nice selection of dinners for the evening meal. The room was clean and bright. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The poor old Queens is looking tired. Stop it needs a full refurbishment, but I guess that could cost a lot of money.

Breakfast was taken at a dining room overlooking the sea. The food was excellent and the service good.

As above - rooms serviced more regularly

Location great, room a good size, comfy beds. Room only cleaned every 3 days so we didn’t get it cleaned during our stay which was a shame as bin was getting full and same towels. Breakfast delicious - especially the large variety of hot options available to order.

Just a minor point but a mini fridge to store provisions might be useful. Rooms didn’t have a/c on warm summer days but portable fans are provided which were adequate.

Location right on the seafront, and only a short walk from the train station. Excellent breakfast with a varied menu and a good bar ! All round comfort with tea/coffee biscuits provided in the room.

    Nothing negative

This is a great old hotel directly across the road from the beach. It has off street reserved parking. I liked the grand downstairs public rooms - reading, dining, breakfast, bar, and sitting rooms. All staff at reception and breakfast were professional and helpful. They look smart in uniform too. It’s a full service breakfast - your order taken at the table and delivered promptly. The bedroom is very comfortable.
