Hi Guys, many thanks for your comments on your recent stay with us, it's always great to hear from our guests with their thoughts on their stay. We are so glad you enjoyed your experience and looking forward to welcoming you back anytime. As mentioned many times regards to parking, at our guest house, parking is on street in a permit zoned area. Permits are given to all guests staying with us for the duration of their stay. This unfortunately doesn't guarantee a parking space literally outside our premises. Spaces depend on time of year/ arrival, and any events going on in the area. Walking a small distance may be necessary, this cannot be avoided,. The alternative is using the council run car park approximately 10 minute walk away, which will include a daily charge to you.

Hi Jane, thanks for your comments on your recent stay with us. We really don't understand where the confusion lies with the room you booked. The room you had was a twin room, supplied with TWO single beds, although separated by an internal wall, and connecting door, the beds may not have been together, like most premises offer, but the room is always set up for two people sharing, and have the convenience of having your own space. but sharing the ensuite bathroom. How can this be a negative? You was still with your friend, but having the convenience of your own sleeping area. we really don't know how you could have mistaken this as a single room.

Hi Ray, thank you for the bad review, at least the clean room and breakfast was to your liking. Regards to your room, you had the twin/single room as booked, because of the last minute change to single occupancy, the second bedroom was locked out of use as you had no longer use for it. As to your comments regarding us seeking to maximising profit, this is false and we will be seeking advise for liable and defemination of character. We must make it clear the reasons to other protentional guest the circumstances of your comments. You originally booked your twin room for 2 people back in January this year through Booking.com, exactly 7 days to your arrival date you contacted us explaining that your circumstances had changed, and only one person would be checking in. We explained to you exactly what you had to do, and to go back to Booking.com to amend the booking in order for the price to be amended as well. All you had to do was say the room is for only one person not two, time was at an essence as this had to be done before midnight otherwise the booking would not be able to change and would be cancelled instead, this you were advised of. For some reason though you tried to book another room which was already booked, so we had to decline this change. That was the last we heard from you, till arrival day and because the booking had not been amended prior to your stay, you were charged the for the full amount of the booking for 2 people. We have no control over this as it is up to the guest to ensure any amendments must be made before check-in. In regards to the tea bag issue, we provide complimentary tea and coffee to all rooms, which is replenished everyday, had you allowed us to service your room you would have got them replenished but each day you had the ;do not disturb sign showing so your room was left un-serviced. All this information is in the welcome book and an information notice is left on the bed as well when you arrive. We understand that some guests drink more than others, which is why we offer extra refreshments set from our honesty shop for a small charge. Due to high costs we are unable to supply unlimited tea and coffee. We also want to comment on the low score for staff, we find this very insulting, as we are always very attentive and friendly to all our guests, as stated in many of the other reviews. We treat everybody the same.

We've spoke about what's available, so hopefully you're more informed for your next visit. You chose a lovely time to visit, weather wise, and yes , it was very hot, as was the whole house, but as you mentioned, we supply fans to each room, for such circumstances, & for future reference, perhaps draw the curtains in the room, to keep the sun out, as we would have done this ourselves had you allowed us to service your room. The bathrooms are standard size , excluding the king, as this has a walk-in shower & roomier space, so our house can accommodate all shapes & sizes & budget.
