Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe motorway was closer than I realised but could have been worse
A beautiful location, space, not crowded and we had it all to ourselves. Great showers. Comfy beds.

United KingdomThe noise from the motorway. No local Taxis. No signage on the road to the site .The fact that you are only allowed one bag of logs. No information as to where to get more. Or do you just help yourself from the log barn across the lane? No tea /coffee milk. No toiletries.
The site and the tent were wonderful. Glorious views. Beautiful sunsets. Plenty of wild life. The toilet block was spotless on our arrival. However I wonder if it could cope with every tent occupied to capacity because we had to wait for a shower with only four tents being occupied!

United KingdomPartially our fault for not asking for more bedding, and though we did use the provided hot water bottles, the duvets provided as standard could be thicker given there is not heating in the safari tents.
The tents were spacious and tidy, the showers and toilets were very clean. The area in and around the Paddock was wonderful for children to get out first thing in the morning and play. We had a lovely time cooking breakfast and dinner over the provided fire pit. When we did have a small problem on the first night Katy and Ben were very quick to put it right, and accommodated our needs very well afterwards.

United KingdomThe only small thing we would say the toilet doors didn’t lock very easily. Apart from that everything was fantastic.

United KingdomShower and washing up building had outside lights on that were very bright and shone into the tent. Slightly dimmer ones would be nice.
We loved the fairylights, firepit, beautiful big deck for eating, yoga and socialising. Every detail thought of. Logs for our stay, cooking and cleaning facilities ,shower all brilliant. Foot paths and meadows around the tents.

The safari tent was perfect for what we wanted and expected. It was super cold when we visited but with the log burner and plenty of blankets we were all as snug as a bug in a rug. Of course complimented with the red wine and board games.

United KingdomReviews did mention the noise from the nearby motorway ... it WAS extremely noticeable. However, (with the very thoughtful touch of providing earplugs if needed) ... and a few glasses of wine ... it didn't detract from the stay.
Stunning location and tent. Beds were super comfortable and the shower facilities, the best we've ever experienced whilst glamping. Communication with the owners was brilliant... easy to contact when we required more wood for the fire pit etc. Stunning Riverside and village pub nearby. We wish we could've stayed longer. A gorgeous stay. Thank you.

United KingdomIt was a shame there was a lot of noise from the motorway, but the earplugs were much appreciated. I think £80 per night would be a more reasonable price point.
Lots of care and thought put into the accomodation.

United KingdomEverything was pretty much perfect. Howevcer the electric hob didn't seem to be working (luckily we just used the grill) and there was a leak with the indoor fireplace chimney. Quite close to the road, but becomes white noise after a time... not really an issue.
Location was picturesque and well kept. Owners super helpful and respond to messages quickly. Washing facilities were in great condition. Grill was great to have along with the fire pit.

United KingdomI think investing in thicker/heavier duvets for the colder months might be useful. It was super chilly once the hot water bottles (kindly provided) cooled down mid way through the night. Extra throw blankets are provided but they're thin.
The people running it couldn't have been more helpful and were always a message away if we needed anything. They even helped us set up an Easter egg hunt for the kids, which was so kind of them. The bathrooms were immaculately clean and very high standard. We loved the little touches, like the hot water bottles provided, the list of places to visit... We loved visiting 'All Things Wild'! Also, the pot of ear plugs to block out the noise of the motorway was also a clever touch, though it didn't bother us at all. Loads of space for the kids to safely run around and play, and we gathered around the fire pit in the evenings to toast marshmallows together. The kitchen area had everything you could need, including wine glasses 😉 Take extra firelighters and kindling with you though. We ran out and had nothing to start the burner for the logs we had saved to take the chill off the final morning 🙈 We had an amazing time, we booked two safari tents and went as a family group. We made amazing memories. Thank you for having us!

United KingdomI understand why the tents haven't hot running water, but would be useful to have a container to carry water in, we ended up buying bottled as easier.
It's not far from motorway, and the facilities are good, it's warm and cosy with the wood burner on and the hob is easy to use. The toilet block has brilliant shows and was Really clean.
