I can’t say there was anything we didn’t really like. Only that our room was a bit of a hike , but I know now to request a room closer to the front of the building. Also maybe a better selection of fruit for breakfast. Other than that everything was absolutely fantastic and we would stay again in the future. We look forward to seeing you after the refurbishment.

We loved the location, convenient access from the car park. We loved how clean the whole place was kept, the cleaners always asked us if we needed anything if we were still in our room. All the staff were so friendly and the cooked breakfast was fantastic. I wish we lived closer so we could come again more frequently! We didn’t want to leave!

Lack of parking and the showroom/toilet was looking tired.

We would have been grateful to have had a fridge and a safe in the room, especially during the hot weather a fridge would have been most welcome.

Our room was next to a pub that had loud music late into the evening, which we found a disturbance, however receiption were able to move us to a quieter side of the hotel the next morning

No AC unit so you had to keep the windows open to let cool air in. But there are bars and loud music around so you’re getting all that noise with the window open.

Central, lovely room, booked last minute, great price considering its peak season. Fab breakfast, would recommend & even though we are local and had a party in padstow and wanted to have a drink and stay overnight would stay again but will bring our dogs next time

We liked everything! The only small thing missing was a mini fridge in the room to keep water or drinks cold, which we’ve found in other St Austell Brewery pubs, but honestly, it didn’t impact our stay at all (because it was just one night and you can use the bar downstairs if you need it) and would be easy to add in the future.

We stayed at The Old Custom House for just one night, but we truly had a wonderful experience. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Padstow. The manager Matt who welcomed us was incredibly kind and professional, despite it being a busy dinner time, he took the time to help us with our luggage and personally showed us to our room. Our room was spacious and cosy, full of thoughtful comforts, with a large and extremely comfortable bed, great pillows, and a spacious bathroom. We also appreciated the generous selection of teas and coffees. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend it!

Need new carpets and painting in the hallways to freshen and brighten up. In our shower there was a razor left so begs thr question on it was cleaned before we had the room.

The stairs were very steep! Staff was helpful when they were around. The food was okay. Not great. The shower temperature control was a little hard to figure out. There were no wash cloths.

The location couldn't be beat. It's right in the middle of everything. It's quaint and updated. The room overlooked the harbor. The bed was 2 twins put together, so basically a king. We were able to have dinner at the bar for our large group and used the outside tables for a snack after the harbor cruise. Nice bath amenities.

Room was a little warm. We were in room 20 and as you walked into the hall it became really hot. TV needs updating and maybe add a fridge in the room.
