Only one space reserved for parking was a wee bit frustrating at times but totally understandable.

Had all the facilities we required and some nice wee extras. We had our wee dog with us and the back garden was ideal.

The bath was a challenge to get into and out of. But everything was spotless and clean.

This was a very spacious cottage with excellent amenities and very clean and well presented. It was also very accessible to get into with no steps which made arrival and departure a breeze. My main concern was the shower was over the bath and it was an extremely tall bath that was challenging to get in and out of and there was no bath mat and quite slippery so scary. So I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone else with any mobility concerns for that reason only. And the main bed felt a little rickety. Otherwise, it’s a great cottage for a family or active group with a helpful host.

The house is lovely, clean, a good size, and in the perfect location. My mum is disabled, and she had no problem manoeuvring through the house and back garden as it is all level. We are close enough to the main centre of Aviemore for the able-bodied to walk to (dropping mum off), but not too close to be bothered by cars or people. Neighbours who live there are very friendly and helpful. The garden is secure for doggies, and they even left blankets, dog bowls, and treats for them! It was my mum's first holiday in 14 years, and she wanted us to book it again for next year before we even left! We would 100% recommend and will be back.

Quiet on the edge of Aviemore, with shops close by. A 15 minute walk into town. Very handy for walking or cycling paths. Dog bowls and treats were left for the dog. Nice touch. Enclosed garden

We struggled to get into the Wifi - the password in the house info is incorrect. An email with the correct info didn't arrive until after we had resolved the problem ourselves. While annoying this is easily fixed and everything else was great.

Some of the furnishings seemed a little tired compared to other properties we have rented but otherwise it was a very inviting place.

Gregor and Helen were very attentive and helped us get settled in the property. Great area, very relaxing and the family thoroughly enjoyed the trip!

There is a lack of storage space in the kitched for putting our food away. That was the only negative we had.

The location has excellent dog walking right from the back garden - our dogs loved it! The garden was a sun trap and with Aviemore bathed in sun all week. It was a great to stay.

The mattress in the master bedroom was very soft, perhaps this was a personal preference.

The house was lovely and in a fantastic location. We regularly come to Aviemore and The Nook ticked all the boxes. The garden was an ideal bonus and we sat out one of the afternoons and had breakfast outside too!

Honestly nothing, it was great. A high chair would have been amazing as it’s something we didn’t think to bring! But that was more on us and not checking! The owners provided a comfortable travel cot which was easy to assemble which our baby made use of!

Fully equipped for a family stay, very cosy for our February break! A short walk from the town centre, all instructions from the owners were very easy to follow, the house is very comfortable and clean! Very dog friendly too, made us wish we’d brought our lab with us as she would have had a lovely stay as the owners appear to be dog lovers and had the place equipped for little furry family members too!

The radiators have blue lights on at night which I’m picky about but other than that it was pretty ideal for us.

Arrived with 9m old baby and “smart rads” were switched off. Property was very cold. No instructions for “smart rads” had to search google and manufacturer site. Not all would be able to do so. Once had instructions, still don’t work as well as generic central heating. Not very “smart” at all. Some flooring repairs required.

Exceptionally clean cottage, every inch of every single room was spotless, by far the cleanest place we have ever stayed. The level of detail and finishing in each and every single room was amazing. Secure and clean garden for the dog. Quiet location. Excellent quality towels, pillows and duvet.
