Reviews of The New Inn Motel

The Motel is in a lovely quiet village. The accomodation was clean and tidy and very well presented. The stone path leading up to the rooms were very pretty and had lovely flowers outside, also benches and chairs outside the rooms which was a nice touch. Met Carolyn once and she seemed very nice and helped us with connecting to the internet. The room was nice and cosy, the bathroom was a good size and it was pretty peaceful. There was a fridge in the staff room which was great if you were staying for a few day's as the Motel doesn't serve food. It was a good stay.

Didn't realise there was not many food places around to eat where we were. If you want to go into York you can get a bus or the Park and Ride, there was a lot of traffic and it took ages to get to the city. Also the buses stop running early in the evening. An Uber back to the Motel from the city was £30 so quite pricey. There are 2 pubs in the area but one was closed on the day we wanted to eat local. The Cantonese restaurant is good but again a bit pricey.

The owners are lovely nothing to much trouble the room is lovely. Furnishings are beautiful.

Shame about the distance from town as had to get a taxi everywhere which cost a fortune as buses were either not running or wouldn't get us into the town in time but this was nothing to do with the motel.

Room was spacious. The clothes cupboard is excellent. The location is great. Very close to busstop. Spacious bathroom with excellent water preasure and heat. Wifi was great because there is no mobile signal.

A fan would be great for the summer temperatures.

Really nice comfortable rooms. Tucked away behind a good Chinese restaurant. The hotel is run by a lovely family who can't do enough for you.

very welcoming when we arrived, room was lovely (loved the wallpaper) plenty of coffee and biscuits etc. room felt like home from home 🏡 very quiet and safe place to stay and will book again xx

Lots of teabags,coffee and milk

The hot shower stopped working and we didn't expect it So since we were late for our appointment, ended up not getting a shower for a day. They fixed it the same day so we were glad to come back in the room with already a functioning shower. The same day, i somehow woke up at 5am and saw something flew from one side of the room to the curtain in the main door.i could only think of a cockroach. Indeed it was a cockroach. We managed to get rid of it. I wish they have a microwave even just in the staff room.

It was very clean and comfortable.

Nicely presented rooms, quiet location, friendly staff. Plenty of milk and tea/coffee, good guest information.

Room could do with a little more maintenance, bathroom taps were a little stiff and toilet seat was loose. Pillows were passable but not the softest.

Clean and comfortable accommodation. Casual and relaxed atmosphere. Comfortable bed, casual chair and a desk space for working at, if you want to. Easy drive into York. No restaurant on site so plan your eating. Mobile phone signal poor but the FREE WiFi is quick - use WhatsApp to keep in touch with home. I recommend this place without any reservation.

Great place. Very clean. Very quiet. If you need a break from the noise, this is the perfect place.

The owners were fantastic and helpful .The accomodation was peaceful and quiet clean ,great beds bathroom ect. Just far enough out of town lovely village setting. Can't wait to go back, won't look elsewhere if we can stay here again .x 😄
