Hilary. What an absolute star of a lady she is. I was allowed to check-in early and was upgraded at no extra charge to a suite on the ground floor (which I was informed by many locals used to be The Cellar Bar, their local). Everything you wanted or needed for a break was there and, again, Hilary was on hand to answer or help if she could. Everyone in Dunkeld I spoke to told me how highly they thought of her. I was in the twin room downstairs and it had a double hob, a microwave and an air fryer plus a small but ample fridge, large enough to stock up on. Plenty of sockets throughout including USB ones. Beds were comfy and shower great. I never even switched on the TV and that really is a first. The only bar in Birnam is within The Birnam Hotel which is currently being refurbished but if you're a coffee snob, the best flat is served right across the road from you in The Birnam Arts Centre. That's also where The Beatrix Potter Museum is too. You also have your own little courtyard outside with table and chairs which is so relaxing, the whole back area is so quaint and peaceful. The location was perfect and we enjoyed walks through Birnam and into Dunkeld. We enjoyed the freedom offered by Hilary and the kitchenette was a bonus. Beautiful views from the large, bright room.

Lovely building with very friendly welcome from Judith. She kindly upgraded my single room to a larger twin with kitchenette and shower room. A really lovely room with milk in the fridge and tea/ coffee provided.

Everything! I was generously given an upgraded room. It was one of the most beautiful rooms I’ve even seen. Very well appointed with everything I could imagine anyone would need. Spacious, ensuite, kitchenette, sitting area. Comfortable bed, elegant furnishings, so very clean, a friendly helpful host, good shutters to make the room dark at night, in a quiet and peaceful location that felt relaxing. With great out front parking and only a short drive (or walk) to dining and other close by attractions.
