The room was comfortable and quiet but functional. We found litter from the previous guests. The breakfast was disappointing in terms of choice and presentation. For the price we expected more.

A little noisy from the upstairs room, but I suppose it depends who is in there.

The stay was very good, very nice spacious room, had all the necessary items. The bathroom could be nicer, but overall good value for money. We took our dog with us, the Marquess was excellent with him (it is dog friendly in the rooms and in the bar area). The staff are amazing, couldn't do enough for us, so friendly. We had an evening meal, the choice was between Indian or British fare, and again lovely. Generous portions. Breakfast, very good, set us up for the whole day!.

Very worn out mattress so very uncomfortable. Room didn’t have windows that you can open only patio door. So very hot during night. They should really consider changing the patio door to stable door, so can get fresh air during night when hot.

Room was noisy. Walls were very thin. You could hear the room upstairs. It could do with some TLC. Cold water was hot. No hair dryer, but I didn't go and ask for one. But this didn't put us of we fad a great stay and the evening meal was superb.

Staff were super helpful friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was freshly cooked and a great choice. Location was a superb little village full of history and beautiful old architecture.

As room was in the eaves it was was warm! There was a fan provided though. The TV was very small but worked fine.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. The bar area was beautifully oldie worldie! Good choice of beers available. Good restaurant attached. Beautiful Old English Village. Room was large.

The noise on Saturday night. Someone decided to have a shower at 2am in the room next door and the noise was very disturbing

It was a very hot day and night and the fan didn’t work so no sleep unfortunately, it was a downstairs room with only a door to open onto the back no window, the heat had built up over the day and just wouldn’t cool down

Rooms were uncomfortably hot, windows didn't open to allow any air and fan did nothing. We couldn't sleep because of the heat. We had to ask for a bin to put tea and coffee rubbish in, which they provided straight away.

Breakfast was very good, rooms were clean and welcoming, staff were polite and very helpful.

The coffee wasn't great but we are a little fussy with coffee so for most people it was likely to be fine

It was a pity that the global birdfair weekend did not consider offering earlier breakfast on the weekend. The one weekend in the year were breakfast should also be at 7 am like duting the week. The fair starts at 9. Exhibiters need to arrive early.

Outside security light right next to the window and other lights in the garden on all night, blinds still let the light in, room lit up at one point. There is no handrail in the shower Rain showers.

Very friendly staff, they sorted out an issue with the room immediately. It's in a lovely location. The room was a nice size. The bed was ok. The restaurant is lovely, fantastic food, and the service was perfect. Again, the food was amazing, and the breakfast cooked to order.

Lovely location and very friendly welcome on arrival . Accommodation set in a relaxed , pleasant setting where you can have a drink and unwind .... and if you have a dog it is perfect for them too ! The restaurant did not disappoint too with a lovely menu and tasty desserts .....
