United KingdomExterior was terrible it looked like parts had been condemned.with builders fences all around . Disabled ramp led to door that was Impossible for a solo wheelchair user to open and the handrail was covered in bird droppings. Interior was dated and although reasonably clean needs a refresh .No disabled ground floor toilets your options are a very dirty staff toilet or return to your room.the room itself was again outdated and in need of decorating and was dirty .

THE TWIN ROOM WAS FINE EXCEPT THE BASIN IN THE BATHROOM WAS BROKEN AND WHEN I REPORTED THAT AT RECEPTION WE WERE OFFERED ANOTHER TWIN ROOM, UNFORTUNALELY WE COULDNT STAY IN THAT ROOM AT IT WAS NOISEY FROM THE NEIGHBOURS IN THE NEXT ROOM, SO WE MOVED BACK, NO PROBS, NICE FULL ENGLISH PROVED THE NEXT MORNING. NICE PLEASANT AND HELPFUL STAFF.

United KingdomWas not informed on booking that there is no restaurant evening meal service at weekends including Friday nights. Told by reception that the kitchen staff don't work weekends and told to order a take away. Not what I wanted as I don't eat take away due to medical dietary issues.
The room was comfortable and clean if a bit old. On arrival I was informed I'd be staying in the sister hotel The Park International so this review is for the Park not the Lawn.

United KingdomThe location on a industrial estate. The room was basic very thin duvets no fridge in the room the shower was poor the bathroom light never worked. When you checked in you had to check In at the adjacent hotel. No one on reception in the lawn hotel.No lifts for those with mobility issues like myself.In fact I believe I'm due a refund for this stay.

United KingdomI chose the Lawn Hotel because it was in the area of Reading I wanted to be and because it appeared to be a little further away from the busy man road than the Parkside Hotel. So I was a bit disappointed to have my booking transferred to the Parkside. The Parkside is an adequate hotel, but far too close to that busy road.

The site also was 2 separate buildings, the one we stayed in was completely unmanned and outside was like a building site. The kettle in our room wasn’t also very clean. Nothing was also explained about breakfast or where it was etc

United KingdomWe spent the first night in the Lawns, but had a problem with water drainage in the bathroom. We were moved to the Parkside building for the second night which was much better. The car park area and area between the two buildings is quite scruffy.
Breakfast good - freshly cooked, hot and good quality. Location was good as we were visiting relatives nearby and it was easy to find and good parking.

We were moved to another room but by then we had a few drinks and were settled. Having to move rooms was very inconvenient and spoiled our stay.
