Really lovely location in the centre of St Fagans, near the church and wonderful museum. It was very quiet and the hostess was very kind and helpful.

Have to leave the house from 10 am to 5pm is very inconvenient for customers, especially during bad weather or illness. Breakfast is ok, but not superb. Additional food can be offered for the English breakfast, such as mushrooms, one more piece of egg.

Spacious, very clean and tidy room and bathroom. The hot bath in the bath tub was a bonus especially after a few hours' trail walk. Daily clean up made our stay more comfortable. The host, Julie is pleasant and nice.

The fact that you pay good money for a room that you can't occupy between 10am and 5pm. This needs to be made more understandable when booking.

Awesome host, great place, delicious breakfast.

Such a great find! We were in Cardiff for the Alanis Morrisette concert in Blackweir Gardens. The Laurels was a perfect, peaceful, comfortable base in which to explore Cardiff and only a 15 minute drive from the concert. A really warm and welcoming host and a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning. Very good nights sleep in comfortable bedrooms and the lovely roll top bath was a bonus! Would definitely choose to stay here again and will recommend to all!

The Laurels is an exceptionally clean and well presented guest house. The hosts were very helpful and friendly and I had everything I needed for my two night stay. The bathroom was well equipped and had an excellent power shower. Off road parking was provided and the breakfasts were superb. The local pub (with great meals) is quite literally yards away.

I chose this guesthouse as it was just 5 minutes away from family. I'm so glad I did! Julie (and Boris, an adorably friendly dog!) met us at the door, to show us to our room. The room was clean with kettle, tea and coffee. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was excellent! The area is exceptionally quiet, so no problem sleeping. I don't normally eat breakfast, but I did have scrambled eggs and toast, and my husband had a full English, both of which were very good. Julie was an lovely host, with lots of knowledge regarding the area - as we were visiting family we only went to the St Fagans national museum of history but it was very interesting, and we will be back to view it again. This will definitely be my go to Guesthouse when visiting family.

The shower recess was very small.

Julie was there to greet us on check in. The room was spacious, first floor (upstairs) with a large double bed. The bathroom was separate (not a problem, it seemed we had that whole quarter of the house to ourselves). There was room to unpack two suitcases. The bed was comfortable, with extra pillows. The bathroom was extra large. The establishment was close to the Plymouth Arms pub, where we were able to eat each night without reserving a table. Breakfast was full English, with cereal, milk, bacon or sausages and eggs with toast. Free off-street parking was provided.

Space is limited for parking. Upstairs room was stuffy. Room was compact for 2 adults and luggage.

Close proximity to St Fagan's Natural History Museum and out of Cardiff city. In walking distance to a small hotel for dinner. Comfortable and clean. Friendly staff. Lovely cooked breakfast. Parking available onsite. Lovely area.
