This place is beautiful so peaceful and the humble hut was perfection in every way. It had everything you could possibly need and the decor is of a very high standard. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and loved being greeted by the dogs, the cat and the hens! All in all a beautiful experience. 100% perfection!

Everything! From the location to the views to the cuteness of the space. The host was absolutely lovely and having the familiarity of the pets were just an added bonus for me personally coming from a home of pets. The facilities provided were amazing. Having a cute little tv with all the platforms available, with WIFI to hand also was all the better. The decoration of the little hut provided a very homely and welcoming environment.

Turning from the property onto the main road was a little hair-raising as it was near a bend. Not the property's fault at all but a bit nerve-wracking! The property got quite warm during the day (but cooled quickly once windows were opened - and there was a bit of a heatwave going on!)

The property was a shepherds hut so the facilities were all quite bijou! However, everything was arranged very efficiently and had everything we needed. The bed, in particular, was excellent. The outdoor area was lovely and a great spot to look at the stars (and a few meteors)

The hut had everything we needed for our stay. It was clean, comfy, private, well positioned and made excellent use of the space- inside and out. The host was really friendly and helpful, without intruding- that in itself is a bit of a gift. Great information about the local area.

Nothing to dislike, the whole weekend was fabulous.

Beautiful location. The shepherds hut was spotlessly clean and so well equipped. The bed was really comfortable. The outdoor area was amazing and so private. The owners were so friendly and also recommended we try Ad Gefrin and we weren’t disappointed, it was a brilliant place to visit, the coffee and scones were great too.

I can't say there is anything we didn't like! It might just be worth making future guests aware that you'll definitely need a car to get around the area, and the Humble Hut is quite small and cosy. We loved it, but it's probably worth noting again for anyone looking to book this unique stay in Northumbria!

Rob's little caravan is a real hidden gem. My partner and I absolutely loved our stay. It's a super cute little place, very unique, with stunning nature views. Waking up to a view of the mist rolling over the hills really can't be beaten. It has a small kitchenette to cook breakfast or a light meal, fully functioning bathroom with great shower, and an adorable nook for the bed with a TV. Rob is a fantastic host; we thought the whole property is gorgeous, with a small allotment, rescued chickens, a cat and two dogs - what more could you want? We were extremely happy with our 2-night stay and would come back in a heartbeat.

I had a short yet amazing stay at the Humble Hut this weekend past. The hosts have really thought of everything for this accommodation and theres not a thing I would change. Very well presented and comfortable made even better by the hillside views in a beautiful part of the country. Bravo.

It was an excellent place to stay for a long weekend. Very comfortable, quiet and characterful with stunning views. I was also very lucky with the weather. The hosts were absolutely lovely and explained everything - nothing was too much trouble. The attention to detail in the shepherds hut was much appreciated. The hosts were very considerate regarding their pets and that put me at ease. I would highly recommend a stay here!

Spotlessly clean, comfortable with a lovely outdoor area. Friendly but non-intrusive owners; 2 lovely non-intrusive dogs; and an equally lovely, if slightly more intrusive moggie who checked us out a few times. Great place to stay while exploring the area, in our case Alnwick and the Farne Islands. Top notch!

Absolutely everything Loved the views, the whole place was immaculately clean, lovely shower, lush towels. Every little detail you could think about was there. Even eye masks by the bed. What a delightful stay !

Loved staying in this cosy shepherd’s hut. Host was very welcoming. Dogs were gorgeous! It was so peaceful and looking out onto the fields was just magic. Rain on the tin roof one evening was magic too. Facilities all great and was within 25 minutes drive of Holy Island which was main reason for staying in the area. Highly recommend it !
