Condition of shower in one of our rooms was disappointing

I accept that we had a budget room but the bathroom was very small and the toilet seat was a nightmare if you were female or had to sit down as the seat would not stay up. There was also the smell was cannabis in the corridor when I took the dog out first thing in the morning. Obviously this is not the hotel's fault but for the amount paid for the room I didn't think the charge was justified.

The location is perfect for us when getting an early ferry from Oban as you can pick and choose whether you want breakfast. If you are able to get their early enough there's parking too although the car park does fill up quite quickly.

Spoke to bartender before going out he said bar was open until 11pm we returned at 10 40 pm to find bar closed when checking with reception she took no responsibility

Dirty hand marks on most doors (public and into bedrooms). Bedroom walls and carpets had many dirty marks. Lift not working- hotel made no provision to help older/disabled guests with cases up to second floor- I helped some who were clearly struggling with their cases.

As other people say, it’s very badly in need of some modernisation, every floorboard in our room squeaked, the toilet fan was like a B-2 bomber with the noise that came off it and run for 5 mins after the light was out, toilet door opened half way as it hit the sink, one window would open about 3 inches and that was it. Was told evening meals and the bar was open from 18:00 to 20:00 Why !! And parking cost you £6 a night, read the small print, and not guaranteed a space, so then it’s on to street parking so try leave a note on the booking if you need a parking space. It could be a GREAT Hotel if Bespoke Hotels spent some money on it.

Staff were not very welcoming and didn't appear happy at work, possibly short of training. Staff didn't ask if we would like breakfast or dinner, and didn't explain internet facilities. Charged an extra £6 for parking. The building needs renovating as it's quite shabby.

View from the room was lovely. Short walk from the town. Clean bedding and towels. Large clean room.

The hotel need a huge restoration to keep running these times. All is old and looked as nobody is taking. Care of even the basics needs of the hotel. When you enter in this hotel you will notice at first

Room was in the basement, did have a window. Parking is difficult, nog much room even for a motorbike.

The car parking should be better organised. We had reserved space 17, however when we returned from a trip our space was taken, even though we placed a cone in the space. There was a smell of smoke in our room and on the first floor??

The location was good. Enjoyable hot breakfast. Reception staff tried to help as best they could.

The breakfast was very limited and the coffee tasted of nothing. There is also a staircase up to the front door that may cause issues for people with mobility difficulties, they also seem to think the best place for a carpark sign is right at the bottom of these stairs almost completely blocking them.

The staff were lovely, the beds were comfortable and it was in a convenient location.

A couple of staff at breakfast did not keep things topped up as ran out of glasses, cups, milk and juice and needed to ask them as they didn’t do it themselves. A lady with a dark hair in a pony tail was excellent though

The rooms need to be refreshed, it is and looks old and well used. The Check in staff was uninterested and had little to say, not impolite but not welcoming either, it would have been just as good to pick up the key from a box.

Location, clean and the breakfast. The breakfast staff were very nice.

Very old properly. Stains on ceilings and carpets. I had to ask for a fan as there is no air con. The bed was an only a double not a queen. Really crap Mattress. Every time my husband moved I felt it. We both had a shocking nights sleep because of it.
