The room was dusty there was a bathmat aboustley filthy it Made us a bit unsettled overpriced for the room cause only local pub in area. The girl behind the bar was full of drugs she was out her face on Fri night not good she gave us wrong drinks and was so loud .

Twin room - old building with uneven floors etc felt like I might roll out of bed!! Room overlooked main roundabout into Crail - could have shaken hands with passengers on top deck of the bus as it passed my window .

Dog friendly and had good outdoor space for eating and drinking

The beds were old and uncomfortable. We stayed there on a Sunday and there’s a drag race event nearby. So beginning early in the morning there were over a hundred noisy muffler, revving, hot rod cars driving right through town in front of the hotel. If your room is facing the road it’s extremely noisy. This isn’t the fault of the hotel but it was very unpleasant to listen to.

It’s a great location and very charming.

Cooking oil smells came into the bedroom. Some noise late on as customers left the pub.

Comfortable and cozy with nice soft pillows . Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious and substantial as were the evening meals.

The water system in the ensuite was quite noisy, but that was due to the saniflo toilet, presumably installed as its a very old building and harder to install standard plumbing. Also due to the age if the building, we had to open the front street facing windows as it was very warm, so quite noisy from traffic and general street life. Understandable though, but just to be aware.

The pipes were loudly vibrating in the room when my friend was taking a shower. And the beds seemed a bit unstable.

Huge room with tea, coffee, cookies and bottled water. Quite hotel despite the pub and super friendly staff. Parking available just opposite the building.

Plumbing quite noisy. Low ceilings on way up to top floor (tho hazard-taped)

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very good small touches, eg bowl of fresh strawberries at breakfast, help of staff in returning a key that I'd taken from a previous hotel in error.

The hot water supply to the wash hand basin was very slow and rather a long time to reach a hot temperature. We didn't use the shower as we felt that the water pressure would be insufficient. There was a constant smell of cooking oil/fat in the room. The room we had number 6 was at the top of the hotel up a quite steep set of stairs, we felt that this should have been mentioned in the room description. The staff were very helpful.

The room was a reasonable size clean and well equipped. The breakfast was extremely good,two eggs,two link sausages, a square sausage,baked beans,black pudding and a tattie scone. There was fruit, yogurt and toast as well as coffee.

Room and building in general a bit tired looking

Food was excellent. Proper Scottish breakfast with quality butchers sausage etc. Freshly brewed coffee to order at breakfast also. Hilton hotels don’t even do that!! 👍

The shower made a very loud noise and the pillows were a little uncomfortable.

Excellent service from staff. We ordered drinks for room service and they arrived within a few minutes! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The manager offered leaving our bags while we explored Crail which was kind. Lovely olde world hotel with a genuine feel of the past which is rare amongst the over-renovated old hotels. Lovely breakfast with plenty to eat and friendly staff.
