The position was great! Unfortunately The breakfast was ok but not great! The view was great! We had dinner and it was ok!

It was old and tired and in need of a renovation! The original room was small and we were given a bigger room with two single beds! The internet was very poor and only worked in certain lounge areas of the hotel!

Historic hotel with character. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for what we needed (24 hour stay on the Isle)

Cleanliness of the bathroom - this might have been due to the reno's currently happening at the hotel.

The staff were friendly, helpful and professional, we booked dinner both evenings and the food was lovely. The views were excellent, and information regarding Bute was readily available.

Lovely hotel with a great location, very friendly staff, and a good breakfast. The building shows a bit of age, but that only adds to its charm.

Glorious old hotel with all of the charm that such architectural beauties hold. Step back in time in a good way! Gardens were gorgeous and the views amazing. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Bar was great and the food looked delicious. Breakfast was a well stocked self serve buffet.

Beautiful old hotel with spectacular views over the bay. We had a room with duel aspect views. Very comfortable rooms with lovely traditional furniture. Beds super comfortable. Really tasty breakfast with everything you could want. Perfect eggs and brilliant hash browns. The staff were so helpful and kind. Will definitely return. Such good value.

Parking is limited as restoration work is being carried out but that is our only negative comment.

Was comfortable , full of history and an old style charm about it but still very homely . Wonderful views.

All the steps up to the hotel and lack of parking but little to be done due to its setting which was also part of its charm .

The location and views were stunning staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the hotel was dog friendly.

No bar lunches and bar was closed till 3pm. Bedroom door was so miss shaped we had to put towels in the gap to shut out light from hallway. I had ro instal toilet seat when we arrived and even then it didn't fit properly. In my opinion the rooms need an upgrade

Debbie was an absolute superstar helping me organisie a surprise weekend for my parents. I can’t thank her enough! 5* I’ll be checking this hotel out myself next time I’m over from Malta. Highly recommend!

Interior decor in public areas. Quality furniture and beds in bedrooms. Staff friendly and helpfull.

Shower is mixer taps only and not electric controlled. Toilet paper is always poor quality. TV reception always poor. Windows usually dirty. Coffee machine had no instructions.
