The bathroom had everything we needed with a great walk in shower but was small and a little bit cramped. The lighting in the room was a bit dim.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Our room was clean with a lovely comfortable bed.

Some bits were a bit tired, for example, a peg for the hand towel in the bathroom would have been nice and some cups / holders for toothbrushes. The restaurant also didn't have the same variety as on the website, but it could have also been because we were there Monday and Tuesday.

We had a lovely room (one of the standard ones). Staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar were great. Especially the oysters were great and the steak. The location is near the loch and you can have nice walks from there.

Bit disappointed that outdoor back area not opened, but new management appear to be looking at this situation. It is such a beautiful area, so sad to see it not being used.

We always return to this property when we are in the area as it is always wonderful. Reception staff kindly gave us an upgrade as I have a broken ankle and they wanted me to be safe with minimum stairs, which I am very grateful for. We stayed in room 6 which is wonderful, immaculately clean throughout, huge comfy bed, a bath and shower. We ate (as we always do) in the restaurant which was delicious. Breakfast was great. Staff were warm and friendly, especially the young waiters!

It was good that the tea supplied in the room was Fairtrade. It would be better if the coffee and sugar had been too. The staff also thoughtfully supplied non-dairy milk.

The barman in the whisky bar knew nothing about whisky and openly admitted that which was really disappointing as one of the reasons we were attracted to the George was its whisky snug and had seen its won awards. Staff working in a whisky bar should be given some basic training about what they’re selling. We had a nice room but it was two beds pushed together to make a double and so had a gap in the middle. For the price we paid for the room, would have expected a proper double bed.

Nice big bedroom with very comfy bed. The food in the restaurant was lovely and restaurant staff friendly and knowledgable. Dog friendly everywhere in the hotel which was great as we brought our dog with us and he was given treats and water and made welcome.

The atmosphere at the George is great, with very friendly staff and you are in the heart of Inverary, should you want to explore. We were just travelling through but our one night there allowed us to rest and recuperate well after a long journey in from the Western Isles and before starting the long journey south. This included a good supper in the George restaurant soon after we arrived mid-evening: all part of the George experience.

There were stains on the rugs and upholstery. The bathtub was directly in front of a window with only a sheer curtain. There was no privacy. The tub was difficult to get in and out of.

Beautiful property with real character. Staff are outstanding and we enjoyed the food and drink enormously. Great coffee with breakfast which is not always the case in hotels. A wee gem!

Spotlights let down the decor of the room. Shower took a long time to heat up. Dark tartan carpet on the stairs made it difficult to see the individual stairs. Coffee pods in room didn't have anything on them to say what they were. Small telly and it was far away from chair/bed so difficult to watch.

Big room, nicely decorated. Comfortable, big bed. Lots of tea/coffee, nice coffee machine. Delicious breakfast which was made to order. Didn't hear any noise from other rooms or outside.
