Bathroom was dirty. Cobwebs, hair in the sink and hair on the soap dispenser.

Cost. Breakfast was ok but nothing special.

The room we were advertised on Booking.com was not the same as the one we received. We booked with the newer room in mind, with an en-suite but instead was given a small room, with a private bathroom. Although this was suitable for the duration of our stay we’d hoped we’d get the room we had booked initially.

Staff were really approachable and helpful.

Minor things only. The stairs were narrow & a little steep with a tight turn at the bottom with 2 doors, when both open, you are stuck in the middle. The plug didn't work in the bath, and when I hung the hand towel up, the rail came completely out of the wall with the raw plug. Finally, the toilet was totally separated off the bathroom with a door, and in the night I stubbed my little toe on the wooden freshhold, (I could have turned the light on, but don't usually in the night). Most of these things were due to the age of the building.

Great location, helpful, friendly and accommodating staff. I don't eat much carb due to diabetes, and they kindly swapped chips for a lovely salad with my steak. Food was cooked well and served quickly, well presented and tasty. We have a good sized bedroom & bathroom and the bed was very clean & comfortable.

A fan in the room would have been appreciated. Car park was supposed to have been for residents only but there was no room when we arrived, which implies this rule wasn’t being adhered to.

Location was good. Bed was comfy. Food was good. Thanks for the bottled water in the room.

Pillows were too hard for me. Room was too hot when I went to sleep so had to open the window to cool it down meaning road noise disrupted my sleep. Access the rooms may be tricky with luggage. Otherwise it's a great place.

The bathroom and toilet being across the hallway although it was private NOT shared it was a bit inconvenient during the night having to unlock the door each time we needed to use the toilet

We paid for breakfast, and my wife has coeliac intolerance, this left her with minimal choices to eat, also felt that the main menu could have more intolerance options. What we did have was good though.

We did not have the breakfast - it was better value elsewhere. The location was fine. The trouble with staying at pubs is that there are always stairs to the accommodation on the upper floor(s). If you don't like climbing stairs, stay somewhere else, like Premier Inn. On the night we stayed, there was Karaoke downstairs until 11pm! We were not advised of this at the time of booking or at any time during the booking period when it could have been declared at some point, giving us a chance to cancel. The room itself was fine apart from the double bed, which was only 4'6" wide; such beds went out with the Ark!
