Room was cold on arrival and the heating took a little while to get the room to a comfortable temperature.

Location is fine, around fifteen minutes from Nottingham city centre. The hotel is on an individual plot so not much in the surrounding area. Food was OK and the breakfast was fine

The room we stayed in was starting to look a bit Bashed about a bit, lots of scuff marks on the walls, and the carpet into the accommodation wind needs replacing, not a good look. The toilet was stained, sure that could have been cleaned?

The pub food was good.

Most channels on the TV were too pixelated to watch anything in the evening, so we went to the pub.... however, in the morning, we were able to watch ITV. Evening meal service was extremely slow. It seemed understaffed.

Good value for money in an ideal location for us. Had a good night's sleep, comfortable bed (although the double is two singles pushed together, so mind the gap). Magnets on the bottom of the shower curtain helped prevent any overspill. Breakfast was great with much better service than night before, great breakfast team. Tiff the pub dog was a joy & unexpected addition to our table at breakfast..... we wanted to take her home with us!

No walk in shower. At our age ( mid and late 80’s ) we can not use a shower over the bath. So more than a one night stay is out.

I ordered pancakes for my daughter (11) and they brought adult pancakes...3 times the price or something silly...bit annoyed they didn't ask. I did point it out when paying and was ignored. The TV was kept losing signal and freezing. We didn't watch it much so wasn't a huge issue.

In the hotel room there were loose fittings and the sink didn't drain properly and had a bit of a bad smell coming from it. These seemed like potentially quite easy things to fix. Also there were a lot of channels on the TV that didn't have a particularly good signal. The service in the pub was very slow. It took a long time for food to arrive at the table (although worth the wait) and the kids were getting very impatient. This however was no fault of the waitresses, who were working flat out and very helpful.

Attractive pub/hotel convenient for West Bridgford with adequate parking. The room was a decent size with a comfortable main bed and was clean with standard facilities. The bar was cosy and the staff were friendly and hard-working. The breakfast was very tasty too and the kids enjoyed going out in the play area afterwards.
