Alexa is not for everyone...

This B&B is wonderful, whether you like whisky or not. But if you do, it is extra wonderful. There is an extensive whiskey collection and bar where whisky lovers can order their tipple in the evenings. The hosts are very committed to a lifestyle of hospitality and have made the place whiskey themed in a stylish - not tacky - way. The bedroom was very comfortable, bathroom very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was great - with a variety of choices. (Including porridge with whisky) This establishment is setting new standards of hospitality in the region.

The location was amazing. Loved the views over the hills and valleys opposite. The room we stayed in was extremely well equipped with lots of lovely extras such as a TV that came up from the end of the bed, steam room and toiletries. We enjoyed eating outside in the evening sun and chatting with other guests. There is plenty to do in the area especially for whisky lovers.

The hosts AJ and Siebette were excellent! They were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of. The room with ensuite bath was great! Bed was comfortable, the space had everything we needed. The whisky tasting was phenomenal!!!! The breakfast and dinners they offered were top notch! We hope to go back again some day.

I don't like microfiber towels, just don't like the feeling and don't feel it dries water off well, but I understand that faster drying fabric is also better for environment.

The host provides various options for breakfast and they are all delicious. Their Whisky Lounge has a wide selection of whisky. Not only the price for whisky tasting is good, the host knowledge of the whisky distilleries make for good evening conversation.

A beautiful house and grounds. A lot of thought and imagination been put into the minute details of decor by Siebette and her husband. Breakfast was good served with “interesting’ pieces of crockery.

There was a little bit cold in the evening. But we could turn on the heat in the evening.

Sibette and her husband was such sweet and warm people. Everything was in top 10. We felt so very welcome at their b&b. We are not whisky drinkers, but that was not a problem at “The Gables”. The breakfast was amazing, especially the homemade “granola” we would really love to come back again one day ❤️

Exceptional collection of whisky on-site. Drams and flights are available at very reasonable price. The fact that we can do whisky tasting without having to drive somewhere is a big plus. A whisky wonderland for whisky lovers :) Everything else is good too - the bed, the shower, the spacious room. Thumb-up

we stayed for several days during spay side festival the place location is close to Dufftown and easy to drive to and from the place is nice and the owners giving a good atmosphere the local bar downstairs is wonderful and the breakfast very good
