A little pricey. Pillows were too fast and too many cushions on the bed.

Very central with free car parking. Easy to find. Excellent receptive host. Very cosy house with everything that you need.

We were lucky in getting a second car parking space on Back Lane but it would have been very inconvenient if one hadn't been available.. It was an extremely hot heatwave during our stay and the upstairs living area was too hot. We could have done with having an electric fan, but realise that under 'normal' conditions things would have been ok. There is no private outside space which would have been nice, but there is a pretty garden area at the top of The Folly with benches and lovely flowers and lawn if people want to sit outside.

Loved the quirkiness of The Folly. Very arty. Lovely decor and very comfy beds. Bold and arty colour schemes. Very efficient shower. Loved the Sedbergh soap products in the kitchen and bathroom and the good quality tea, coffee and spices in the kitchen cupboard. Nice quality crockery, utensils and glasses. Very handy for town.

A heads up about the builders could have been useful. In some places I have been before, the hosts have left a few things in just to get us started e.g. Small milk, eggs, breads, biscuits. Understandably not an essential but a lovely touch to add for the future. In addition to this, maybe a selection of games might be a nice touch for rainy days.

The accommodation was beautifully and thoughtfully presented and was well positioned in the village. It was nice and clean. The dining recommendations were spot on and the whole stay was enjoyable. What I have suggested below are merely things that would have made it perfect, not critques.

Nothing to dislike other than we couldn’t get the oven to work - but this wasn’t an issue as we ate out/ used the hob when needed.

An amazing property in a great location right near the high street. The property has had a lot of love put into it to make it feel as homely as possible.

Scented oil diffusers in every room, many people are fragrant sensitive and both my partner and I determined we were very allergic to these - we both have hay fever and the oil diffusers and all the kindly provided toiletries have real lemongrass in them.

Generously stocked, well designed, memorable. Responsive host. Gorgeous bath setup to soak tired bones after walks. We felt very well cared for.

The weather not the best but that mattered so little because the Folly was so comfortable.

This was our second stay and we'll be back. Sedbergh is a perfect location for the Dales and the Lakes and the Folly is in a brilliant, central location with all the comforts of home. We cannot wait to come back.

The only downside was that there was no cooking oil supplied despite the description stating it was supplied. Very minor and easily rectified so not a significant issue.

Very cosy, well presented, clean and comfortable. It was a nice little nook to rest after days out in the Yorkshire dales. Parking permit was straightforward to use and there were several spaces available in the Joss Lane car park, nearest to the property. Plenty of nice eateries within walking distance as well!

Not so much as a 'didnt like' more of a 'might change the description' - the owners highlight its not for those needing wheelchair access but as its well set out so as long as you can manage a small number of stairs youll be fine. I sat there thinking my mum would have loved it and i could have invited her but the write up put me off - could clarify a bit more in the description ?

Very cosy and pretty cottage in a lovely place. Spotless, great quality facilities and felt very much at home. Cheerful and tastefully decorated in keeping with the age of the cottage. Liked the feeling of history - tucked away down an old alleyway so a v nice hideaway and the carpark was a cockstride away. Great access to the highstreet although happily not in the thick of the hustle and bustle. Perfect.

The mattresses downstairs could do with being replaced as they were rather worn, but that was the only negative

very central to town, really well equipped and ideal for a Christmas break. The fire was very welcome in the winter. also, the host was very accommodating and decorated it very nicely ready for Christmas.
