The bedrooms were not air-conditioned in the bedrooms. Road noise was very loud with the windows open.

The restaurant and staff were excellent. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We eat out regularly, and this was one of the best restaurants we have come across.

It was a hot night and the hotel is on a main road so opening the window was too noisy. The rooms have no air conditioning and the fan supplied did a lot of spinning but didn't actually move any air - not sure how that happens. Assume on cooler nights this isn't an issue.

The hotel is very pretty and nicely laid out, we were lucky to have sunshine so the restaurant garden looked welcoming on arrival. My room was nicely styled and the bathroom looked new. Staff were friendly (and a bit quirky) bustling about between hotel and restaurant. We had dinner on the property which was as good as you would eat anywhere and highly recommended.

Nothing really - just a slightly bigger room ! But this time round it was only one night so it was fine .

The welcome from reception team !… Sally was lovely she was warm and welcoming. Our room was ready and she escorted us to it . The hotel was wonderful traditional and dressed for Christmas. Hotel ideally placed to visit the Manor! We loved also that we could eat our evening meal at the sister pub The Bow just up the road . Our breakfast in the hotel was great also .

Breakfast was poor. Orange juice out of a cheap carton and it would be nice to have a quality sausage. My husband is gluten free, so the sausage and black pudding was removed as not gluten free but it would have been nice to have an extra piece of bacon instead as there was not much on his plate. They really need to up their game as far as breakfast is concerned!!

We have stayed 4 times now and it’s very conveniently situated.

On our visit they were short of staff, especially at breakfast, based on what I heard this appeared to be an ongoing problem. Because of the delay with our breakfast we considered leaving, but when breakfast did eventually arrive it was good quality.

We have stayed here before and chose to stay again after a wine tasting at the local Waddesdon Manor. In this case the wine tasting was more a presentation about the origins of Rothschilds wine, an interesting tour of the wine cellar, and visitors only got to sample two glasses of their good wines, so we could have driven home. But we had already booked our room so we stayed. Five Arrows is a nice country hotel, built in the same attractive style as much of the older part of the village, and its comfortable inside. Good for a short stay or after visiting the manor. Staff were all friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The Five Arrows was perfect for our one night stay alongside our visit to Waddesdon Manor. The room was lovely and had everything that’s needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent food served in the restaurant. The grounds are easily accessible from the Hotel. The staff we encountered within the Hotel were all super friendly, in particular Sally at reception who provided phenomenal service.

The room felt a bit cluttered even though it had everything you needed from an espresso machine to a Dyson hair dryer.

Location was excellent for our visit to Waddesdon Manor: The dinner was excellent and great to have Waddesdon own wines. The en suite was well fitted with an excellent shower.

Fly on the floor, no bath rails, dirty under the soap dispenser in the bath. Breakfast portions could be a bit bigger.

The hotel is very nice and cozy with great food The bedrooms are very small and compact, and can be quite noisy due to old style windows. There’s no aircon so opening a window is the only option to stay cool! I won’t rush back!
