The rooms need some TLC as the shower in our room wouldn't turn on, one of the other rooms the toilet wouldn't flush, no cups for making brews in two of the rooms. No toilet paper in another. Small things.

The beds were very comfortable and nice clean new bedding on. The price was very good.

The toilet had a broken flush unit, they said they would repair that afternoon. They didn’t repair it, so we couldn’t use it. Which was very inconvenient

The bed was comfortable. And the hotel was in a good place.

Heating were broken but they were doing everything to sort it out. We got by . No fault of theirs and would stay again . Rooms basic but fine for the price

Best described as "no frills" but more than adequate for the price. I spent a comfortable night here close to my desired destination on the Lancaster Canal. Couldn't fault the staff.

The room door was not secure. There were no toiletries whatsoever. The shower went cold mid flow at one point for at least a minute and the temperature was difficult to adjust. The present owners have only been in the property for 6 months and are in the process of rectifying issues, windows have recently been replaced and the room doors are due to be replaced shortly. It is an old building with wonky floors that has not been updated to the highest standards in the past. I would be interested to see how far the present refurbishment goes.

No complaints. No soap in the bathroom, probably just an oversight. I often 'borrow' a complementary bar of soap from stays in other hotels. I had a couple in my soapbox, no problem.

We were in Garstang for an overnight stay and just needed a comfortable bed, which is what we had. For the price, we could not have high expectations but no complaints from us.

The room was very bare bones. Functional, but literally just 2 beds and bedside tables, and a side table with tea and coffee etc in plastic tupperwares. No chairs, no desk. Could hear noise from the pub quite late into the night.

Staff were polite and helpful. They have their own parking area off street. Room and bathroom were clean. Big room with high ceilings. They accept check ins until 11pm, so good for a late booking. Right on the high street.

Terrible smell of damp as soon as you enter, everything in the room is incredibly dated and some things are broken like the door and toilet seat.

The staff are friendly and helpful, The room was clean, tidy and well stocked with teas, coffees etc. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean with towels rolled up on the beds. I enjoy staying at The Eagle and Child and will be returning soon.

A vibrant local pub with fantastic service and a welcoming attitude. The room was clean and tidy with a comfy bed. The location is perfect, and parking available, I've already rebooked.

Doors do not lock It’s above a very loud and busy pub - while the pub is open you will not be able to sleep. The music was so life the walls and floor vibrate 😅

Toilet flush was broken, toilet door didn’t close. Shower tiles full of mildew. Toenail clipping on carpet.Dresser top dirty with tea cup stains. Unable to sleep before 12.15am due to VERY LOUD music from downstairs.
