On the expensive side for what it was. Breakfast is not help yourself, all they have is cereal & yougurt- you have to be asked what you want all in one go of about 20 questions. Had just full English, got 1 small bacon, 1 sausage spoon of beans and a tomato! The upstairs lets property down upstairs so old fashioned out outdated and bathroom not the cleanest

Very good facilities done out very nice and modern in reception and bar. Lovely outdoor pool, indoor pool and jacuzzi Room ok, has tv on wall.

We had to pay £100 rider for the room, i wasn’t told that prior to booking so was a shock when we arrived, I know we get it back but it went out of the bank straight away but takes up to 2-3 days to go back in

We found the 10.30 checkout a bit brutal 11 am would be better, especially on a 1 night stay.

The Doric is at the North Shore which is away from the busy central front so it could be a very long walk along the Prom for some, and a steep drop to the beach. Buses and trams are very regular and stop opposite the Doric! The Hotel was very clean, Staff helpful and professional, a good breakfast, very enjoyable outdoor pool and indoor pool with jacuzzi. There was entertainment, which looked professional and well attended, but we went out for the evening as planned.

The swimming facilities were not as expected . Needs better changing facilities and limit number of families as pool was small and overcrowded .

The beds were rock hard, some areas need a good lick of paint and our view of the generator wasn't great.

The food was overpriced in the restaurant, the portions were very small, and it was barely luke warm. Very rushed. We'd had all 3 courses for 4 of us in 30 mins. Tinned fruit, tinned soup, what tasted like ready-made mashed potatoes. We were very disappointed. Our rooms were OK, nothing special for the price, and it absolutely stank of sweaty feet. We couldn't move as the Hotel had put our teenager ls in the room next door, so we bared it for 2 nights. The tables in the bar need clearing. Each night, we sat at tables where there were food plates and glasses from other guests, and we had to move them ourselves after an hour to accommodate our own drinks. Toilets downstairs very smelly, nappy bins needing emptying for 2 days, and the toilet floors in an evening were covered in blue roll. I appreciate it's the summer holidays and full of families, but we were disappointed staying this time.

The pool areas are a little worn and in need of some TLC The stair carpets are frayed and could also do with replacing Breakfast was a bit chaotic at times and even when it wasn’t that busy

The room was spacious and airy Good sea view and view of the North pier and tower Ideal location for a tram stop and some amenities close by

Room was quite dirty the drawers still had mess in from last guests and room was not ready on time, bed was very uncomfortable think mattress needs changing and furniture very dated

. Pool was ok outside pool was good. Restaurant was very nice food. Entertainment was very good and staff were very good.

I was on the ground floor and we had some really noisy neighbours upstairs which were very loud banging noises when trying to settle the little one.

Great stay for families... my children especially loved the indoor and outdoor pools.

We did not realise that the entertainment was in the dining room and we had to wait until people had left and it was cleaned before going in. Surprised that the All Inclusive bar finished at 10pm especially as that was when the act came on?The changing area at the indoor pool was very dirty and dark and was not aware that it was so shallow. It was unusual to have to ask at reception for the vegetarian choice on the menu and had to pre order so early?

That breakfast was not included on in the price. Also that the jacuzzi was reportedly out of order when it was one of the attractions of the hotel. The swimming pool was a little bit small and was used frequently by small children.
