The Bed, absolutely awful, hardly slept, it wasn't the most comfy of beds but that we can deal with, but it was the size, dont think it was barely standard double. Definitely not enough room to sleep 2 adults comfortably. Annoying thing was, there was more than enough room to have a decent sized bed in the room. Rest of the room was fine. But woke very tired and not at all refreshed. What also didn't help was having a room right above the hotels entrance, heard the comings and goings from everyone throughout the night, even one at 4am .

The Hotel was very good, excellent parking facilities, bar and restaurant areas very nice indeed...

There wasn't a lift for upstairs, which wasn't a problem for me. Reception did offer to take luggage to room

There was a wedding and wasn't aware of this ,which went on till quite late ,access to bar area was of and wasn't told till arrived .

It was a little utilitarian given its modern function as a conference centre but that is a small concern

This is a historic building that was once the LMS railway training centre. It is of a wonderful art-deco design with a lot of delightful architectural details that reflect its history. And doubly appropriate as I and colleagues were staying in connection with the Greatest Gathering, celebrating 200 years of railways, at the nearby Alstom works in Litchurch Lane - sited in the former LMS carriage works. Full marks, incidentally, on having several very good EV chargers

When there is a function / wedding then it may be that the bar and restaurant are not available for guests. No problem for me, but good to be aware.

Nice to be staying somewhere that has a feel of history. Staff were all lovely.

The rooms were neat and clean The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were there on a very hot week and the staff very kindly moved us to a room on the other side of the passage that was cooler & we were very grateful for the fan in the room. Good breakfast.

I know I only paid £54 for the room… but even so it would have been nice when I got to the room , after traveling to beable to make a drink

Pillows were a bit too soft. Room was really warm even with the window open. Had to use the fan that was provided and keep it on all night, which led to a broken sleep. Maybe the room could benefit from AC. Would still come back though.

Staff on arrival were polite and extremely nice. Room was very nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Ideal for attending a weekend festival with friends. Breakfast was lovely.

Rooms are small and the shower is not brilliant, but overall these are minor points for what is a great value hotel.

Excellent breakfasts. Well cooked with nice quality ingredients. Would like to see some fruit available, but the buffet style full English was excellent.

Wasn't anything to dislike apart from the pillows are really soft .would be good to put a couple of benches outside so we sit out and enjoy the weather

Bedroom was lovely. Booked a double deluxe room for our wedding anniversary. Staff upgraded us to the honeymoon suite and let me in a hr earlier to decorate 😊
