Very small for the price I paid , and the view was non existent , also no plug near to use phone charger ! The car park was good , cctv . But very small and narrow to get the car out of the hotel .

Stayed at a super hot time of year Aug2025. There was a good portable fan in the room, however, having window open and fan on was still not enough to cool the room.

Was a bit of a walk to the train station and the town. The shower panel on the bath was not big enough and water was spraying on the floor. The shower head was not high enough even when pushed to the top of the pole. The fridge was making a bit of a noise tried to switch it off but couldn't find the switch.

Breakfast was good, bed was comfortable, and hotel was nice.

There was a table in the garden very close to our room which was occupied late into the night which made it loud, but that's not the hotels fault. Would have been nice to have some drawer space.

Room was large and bright. Bed very comfortable. Shower was good with hot water. Being in the annexe was quieter than being in the main building.. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was fine, good choice on offer, catered for my intolerances. Car parking on site at very reasonable rates.

Filthy remote control and given a room up in the eaves during a heatwave, I had to sit on the desk to get close enough to open the window. No way of turning the fridge off so it was cutting in and out all night.

Best bit was the meal, but that was extra.

Great location for going to the cricket and some great cricket photos near our room, even better. The clever use of artwork was much appreciated. Breakfast was good and enjoyable. Room was compact but had all you’d need and a great shower.

Nothing. Ensure tables are booked for meals, as the food and environment are very popular.

On arrival, a warm welcome, within a calming environment. The staff rearranged rooms for a disabled individual at short notice in a very professional and caring manner. In fact, nothing was too much trouble, including small touches like miniature bottles of fresh milk in the room fridge, as well as individual fresh fruit served in individual kilner jars, in a mini fridge for breakfast. Very clean and comfortable environment. 👌 Highly recommend 👌

The choice and prices of the evening meals especially for people who just like the meals clearly described in English and lack of choice for people who not eat red meat and spicy food. I did not expect to have to walk up so many steps to and from my room.

Breakfast was good and cooked fresh to order but I'd suggest a breakfast buffet might have worked better when in a bit of a rush. Each selection requested came as one item for each, whereas having two eggs or two sausages would have been more satisfactory.

The room was just above the entrance to the hotel which meant that when guests arrived at 1.30am after a night out we had to listen to their conversations while they contacted the night porter as they all seemed incapable of remembering the number to gain access.

It has around 30 rooms accessible up and down stairs as per a stretched guest house. Creaky floor boards abound and the room can be warm at night but a fan is provided and window opens.

The hotel is well situated close to the town centre and cricket ground. There are pubs and restaurants within a short walk. The rooms are clean, bathroom small but manageable, a fridge in the room with fresh milk to use with your tea and coffee tray is a nice touch.

Not really the property but the drain cover on the road outside our bedroom window was loose and really noisy and did disturb us quite a few times during the night and early hours of the morning.
