Easy check in. Room facilities ok,. Bed was comfortable. Lots of free parking. Very pleasant staff. Food was good. About 20 minutes drive from Donington Park, and East Midlands Airport.

Disappointed that they had run out of two of their beers on tap in the bar so had Boddingtons which was not the best. The staff seemed to be run ragged as it was a busy night. The bedding and bathroom was clean enough but the room looked tired and outdated with a hint of dust around the skirting boards and cobwebs on the ceiling.

The price was very good. We only really wanted a bed for the night as we were passing through

We felt the rooms require a re fresh paint and new curtains. Also a handle on the inside of the door as they were heavy to open and no handle to pull door open. If you were elderly be very hard to open

The room was probably fine for a one night stay but, because I was there for three nights, I felt it would benefit from a refresh, it felt a little drab and tired.

I only had the continental breakfast but there was plenty of choice if you wanted a cooked breakfast. I ate in the restaurant on Thursday and the meal was well cooked, tasty and served very quickly. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Comfortable bed and nice hot shower.

A very minor irritation was some squeaky floorboards, and the restaurant can take time when busy at breakfast but it is to be expected.

Brilliant staff at the hotel / pub, very welcoming & friendly. Cleaning team were great too. Parking facilities have been fairly recently updated, and the rooms seem to have had a little refresh.

Thin walls, could hear hairdryer next door. Towels were very thin. A bit down at heart in the room.

Right on main drag going south. Easy stop for a bed for the night. Very basic but was pretty cheap.

Grumpy barman

Really peaceful stay. Chalet style little cottages are sweet. Ask for one in the courtyard at the back for ultimate peaceful night. Showers best I've had in a long time. Definitely recommend. The food in the restaurant was a bit disappointing but chain food restaurants food never impressed me anyway. Just a bit bland. Sorry to say but they need to teach the grumpy old barman to speak and say please and thanks. Otherwise everything else nice.

The bed was a little hard and a couple of new pillows wouldn’t go a miss. But very minor details.

I like the bungalow style rooms. Plenty of parking. The room was big enough to not fall over your roommate all the time. Large bed All super clean.

It’s a green king pub on site. However you can get other beers in the bar. Food was ok but would I take the wife there for a meal, probably not.

good sized room, bed very comfy, shower great, staff were great. great location for us, attending a wedding nearby, and it was very handy to be able to get the bus from Leicester direct to this hotel. It was convenient having the pub serving meals on site. the rooms were far enough away from road and pub, so it was very quiet.
