We visited the bar at 17:30 before dinner and then again at 21:00 afterwards and sat at the same table. Eventually I asked for a damp cloth to clean it as the same beer stains from earlier were still there.

Great location and food. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent.

Not much really, not the cheapest room in the world and why there's a bath in the middle of the bedroom I'm not sure but other than that not much to complain about

Huge room looking out onto Bridport High Street, very comfortable with good facilities. The breakfast was fantastic, loads of different choices and plenty of Vegi options, the vegetarian cooked breakfast was lovely.

The only downside for me was the bed, the pillows were lumpy and the matress was hard so didn’t sleep well. However, i didn’t raise the issue so maybe should have given them the opportunity to ractify it for me. My fault.

The staff were all great, welcoming, friendly, helpful. The food was great, breakfast and in the restaurant. Loved the historic feel of the place, its original use remembered, creaky stairs included.

I can’t think of anything that could have been better! We wouldn’t keep coming back if it wasn’t such a lovely hotel.

We’ve stayed here lots of times and we love it! The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts are good with fresh local produce. I especially liked the warm pan au raisin. My favourite! The bar is very friendly and the lunchtime food is delicious.

Hotel was comfy but feels a little dated - both the rooms and the communal facilities - bathroom facilities were quite old fashioned - and nowhere to put toiletries. Our window didnt open and it was a boiling hot weekend. We did mention this to housekeeping but had to prop it open with a drawer overnight.

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is well situated. Its a slice of history.

The only slight drawbacks were that it was a really hot weekend and the window would only open by a small amount. The courtyard garden was really pretty but a little extra screening would have given more privacy.

Charming hotel and a lovely comfortable room and bed. The staff were absolutely lovely and we will happily stay there again - thank you. The breakfast was superb and beautifully cooked. We stayed in a ground floor room with a little courtyard outside and it was lovely.
