    A can opener!!

It has a great location for exploring by car or on foot this area of the Ross. It was cosy and warm and had a traditional atmosphere.

There is no where to dry wet gear when the weather is bad.During our visit in late September the local pub and hotel were closed, definitely a summer holiday location.

The location was very quiet and quite remote.

We had a lovely week and enjoyed touring and visiting Iona. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

The garden was a bit overgrown. Bunessan itself is a bit tired and the local Spar is not overly well-stocked. Best to bring plenty of food with you and drive to the Spar in Salen which is much better. You have to drive to find somewhere good to eat out which we didn't mind but it might not suit everyone. The terrain for walking off-road is quite challenging, very different from the Northern part of Mull.

The owner was very helpful and met us on arrival and called in a couple of times to check we were happy. It's a small cottage but very cosy for a couple. The bed was comfy and the electric heater kept the living room warm when it got chilly outside. Having wifi was a bonus. Oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer and dishwasher were more than adequate for two. Lovely sunset from the cottage. Magnificent scenery and very accessible for the ferry to Iona. Plenty of walks nearby but you are best to stay on the tracks. The local community garden and heritage centre are well worth a visit.
