How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The room was very clean, cosy and well presented! I was in the garden room which opens up into a fabulous garden area with outdoor seating. Jane was an excellent host. Will 100% stay again!

Room a bit on the cosy side in terms of size.
Very friendly and helpful host. Lovely garden to sit and have breakfast. Spotlessly clean. A lot of thought must have gone into making this place perfect. Private access to room.

Greeted by the lovely owner and host Jane who couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Parking on site a bonus and property was lovely and the gardens beautiful. Room was decorated in calming colours and bed was really comfy. Jane freshly cooked any combination we wanted from the breakfast menu and was very knowledgeable about the area. The break was just what we needed.

From start to finish, the accommodation and facilities were first class, the owner Jane, was very helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and it had a very comfortable bed . The continental breakfast was first class .We thoroughly recommend staying at this establishment.

Lovely choice of breakfasts. Delicious Breakfast hamper delivered to room with croissants, tea, coffee and cereal, or cooked breakfast which was very tasty. Ideal location for walking and bus stop right outside property.

There was slight road noise, I was offered another room when I arrived but declined - I'm sure if I had spoken to the owner they would have swapped my room to one at the back of the property, but I did not feel it was enough of a problem.
I would recommend this property to anybody travelling in the area, and will stay again in the future. The room was clean, the breakfast was great, and the property owner was friendly and professional. Complimentary coffee included in the room was higher quality than I would usually expect. The entire property had a generally professional and quality feel. The extractor in the bathroom had a very high draw so the room didn't get steamed up, the external lighting was sufficient to guide you to your room but not so overpowering as to impact sleep, options for paid EV charging were available. The owners have clearly worked to ensure the property is visible from the roadside day and night.

Breakfast of yoghurt and granola with croissant and juice came with the price of the room, which, due to good weather I ate on my own private terrace, however, I could have had a full English breakfast for an extra supplement had I have wanted it. The room was exceptionally clean with thoughtful little touches such as fresh flowers and chocolate! The location was perfect for my trip, whether I wanted to get into town to see sights or have an evening meal out.

Jane was a charming and very friendly hostess and was available if anything was needed. The property was beautiful and had gardens with areas where guests were free to use anytime. The breakfast room was presented very well and breakfast to match.

Our room was a little noisy as we could hear the traffic, as it was facing the main road. We’re woken up at 5.30am.
It was a wonderful couple of days, and Jane was a fantastic host. She was warm, engaging and friendly, and made us feel extremely welcome. We couldn’t recommend her place more. The gardens were beautiful, and the breakfast, 1st class.

A lovely friendly welcome. The room was beautifully organised, the shower,lovely and hot, the bed extremely comfortable. And a lovely continental breakfast. We loved the walk to the Anchor Bleu for our evening meal
