The place is right next to a bar which normally wouldn't bother me. But after a long trip it was a bit difficult to sleep with the loud music late into the night. Didn't effect us, but not much to do in the area.

Decent and affordable place when all you need is just a place to sleep for the night. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

overall the hotel room is lack of design and the bathroom is narrow. The mattress is too soft to hold people in a proper position of sleeping.

The shower water is very comfortable and there is a fridge in the room. Considering the price, it was a fair stay.

On a Saturday night the music from the pub below could be heard until 1am

Friday night and the karaoke night (which we luckily knew about in advance) was annoying. We had to keep our windows closed during the night or we’d get zero sleep due to the noise from the main road . The last night of our stay was crazy and quite frightening since there was some shouting next door, someone trying to break into our room at midnight and then it took 2 more hours dor the owner or the police to arrive and to remove the guy who was knocking on the door next to us. Not something that would’ve ever happened to us before but I guess we weren’t as surprised considering the area hotel is located in.

No elevator - had to drag suitcases up to our room.

Close so we could walk to race track. Bar was downstairs, so close for a night cap. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. Friendly local people taking their smoke breaks in front of bar.

Room was a bit run down. Strange layout not possible to watch tv without standing up or breaking neck to see it. One side of bed up against wall so difficult to get out. 2 brackets sticking out of wall in bathroom where shelf used to be.

I didn't realise hotel and "bar" meant effectively cocktail bar, with music until 12:30 before closing at 1am on a Friday and Saturday night. I was here for an event at driftland 5 minutes down the road over the weekend, now normally I'm a night owl. However when I need to be up at 8 latest and there are drunkards shouting and slamming things, sleep wasn't abundant. Easily up until 1:30 before I could actually get decent sleep. Sunday night though was wonderful. The shower also took rather a long time to get "hot" at maximum temperature it was just warm and took about 5-10 minutes to get there. Parking is also an issue, there's on street parking right outside which for my use case was fine as i used it outside the restricted time. I believe it was 8-6pm Monday to Saturday max 30 mins and no return in 1hr. So while I'd recommend staying here during the week sunday-thursday to avoid unwanted late nights, parking may be an issue. There is more parking round the corner but I didn't use this so can't comment on it.

The accomodation here is quite pleasant. Beds are comfy and clean, great bathroom. Reasonably good value for money and the staff were very friendly.

There was a leak stain on the ceiling with a small amount of mould showing through. The leak looked like it had been fixed. Some marks on the carpet. You expect a bit better for £108 a night so should be more like £40 to £60 then it would be a great value as well.

Close to the train station close to supermarkets. Fridge in the room which we needed clean bathroom comfy beds. Sky T.v. Everything you need iron hairdryer internet.

Fob locking mechanism on main door to accommodation felt a bit flimsy; only one catch at the top was holding door locked. Not the most secure, but all rooms have their own secure locks so didn't feel unsafe. Could also have done with a second key as my other half and I did our own thing on one evening & wasn't easy to coordinate our movements; our respective events finished at different times.

Excellent location for visiting the Racewall as well as access to & from the Station. Room was clean, a good size and the bathroom was again clean and well equipped. Staff were great; friendly and efficient. Didn't get the chap's name behind the bar but he was friendly and check-in was a breeze. Janet the housekeeper was friendly, efficient and checked we had everything we needed

The rooms are situated next to the pub. The musty smell was not nice at all, and the only downfall in the room was the smell...no matter how much I sprayed?! There was a gurgling noise, which I assume was a boiler somewhere in the building. Very loud and kept us awake all night 😔 the room was very clean clean, and shower was great!

We didn't expect much for 70 quid a night, so was pleasantly surprised at the facilities in the room. Fridge, iron/board, good tea and coffee and hairdryer..

We managed to park our car, but I think parking could be a problem, if they have more guests arriving in cars.

There is no breakfast available, but the room was spacious and clean. The hotel looks a bit dated, but the new owners are working hard to get everything updated. Even Rome wasn’t built in a day. The owners and staff are very friendly and made us very welcome. Looking forward to the next visit. The location was just perfect for us.

No WiFi code in room. Had to go down to bar if wanted to acquire it. Bed not very comfortable. Quilt cover had seen better days. Sloping unusable shelf in bathroom. No anti fog mirror. Loud music until late although not unexpected over a pub. No option for food or breakfast. No parking with property although free parking on street. Few restaurants nearby only takeaways.

Fridge in room was very useful. Excellent modern window blinds. Had iron, ironing board, hairdryer and proper coat hangers. All sadly lacking in many a more expensive hotel we have stayed in. Good travelling distance to knockhill race circuit. Pleasant staff. Good communication with hotel. Easy check in/out
