The bathroom was a little tired but super thick towels and heated radiator 👍

It’s a great location and a popular gastro pub the room was spacious and nice touch with complimentary water and snacks! Breakfast was excellent and cooked to order. We ate there one night and again great food and generous portions. Staff were super friendly and very helpful

Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices. Dinner was lovely. The room was well equipped with toiletries, including a selection of snacks. The staff were excellent at checking, checkout and during our stay. Like clear instructions on how the parking system worked, remembering our drinks order for breakfast and even offering us water for our journey home. I would highly recommend to friends and family.

We booked dinner aswell that was excellent the whole experience visiting this hotel was lovely. I had business nearby it was nice to just chill before this! We are greeted by a very happy man he kindly offered to take bags to our room as my friend was on crutches …would definitely return!!

Might sound a little nigly but the puddings were a little disappointing My eton mess was VERY creamy but light on the meringue.

Whilst being in the centre is a bonus, the downside was the noise of traffic going past in the morning. Obviously the hotel can do absolutely nothing about that and to be fair they do provide ear plugs. You can’t have ancient charm of hotel with upvc windows. That just doesn’t work!

Good choice of breakfast, cooked to order. We had our evening meal both nights of our stay there. A reasonable choice of menu. Personally I don’t like a massive menu, I’d never be able to decide. It would be nice to visit again and spend longer looking around the Beautiful area, as it was ideally situated in the centre.

We stayed in "Goldfinch" room. It was great for us but could be a problem with road noise for some people as the room faces a major road.

The food in the hotel at dinner and breakfast was excellent. The bed was very comfy and we had a good bathroom. The staff were excellent. There was plenty of parking. We were amazed at what we got for the price. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Nothing to dislike

The warm welcome and introductory tour by Murray was exceptional. All other staff were polite and professional; and we enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast during our one-night stay. The Kingfisher room at the rear of the hotel, configured with a super king bed, was excellent and the room and bathroom were much larger than expected. And it was a short walk from Cheddar Gorge for our walk up and around it. Altogether a perfect stay. Thank you.

Very friendly staff, excellent food. Great location to amenities and attractions. We were able to check in slightly earlier too, which we were really grateful for, so thanks to staff for making it possible. Highly recommended. Room had everything we needed. Breakfast was amazing.
