Small single room for solo traveller. This was no problem at all for me but be aware.

Jane is a lovely hostess and aided by Caroline. Friendly, helpful and Jane prepared a delicious breakfast. Across the road from the sea, so lovely views. Just 5 mins from the ferry and shops in Rothesay. Thank you to you both.

Host is unbelievably friendly, the beds were comfortable, the food fantastic. Quiet, roomy, and Alfie is the best (and mom too, of course). Sitting in the dining room eating breakfast and watching the boats go by was so nice!

Enjoyed a very comfortable stay here whilst completing the west island way. Jayne our host was exceptional and nothing was too much bother for her. Breakfast was excellent. The bonus was begin greeted by the adorable Alfie the dog.

Everyone prefers their own bed!! so I graded down on bed comfort because of that. I slept very well though and there was no noise or disturbance throughout the hotel

The location of The Ardyne is just perfect. Not far from the ferry terminal and buses stop really near to the Hotel. The proprietors were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. I was visiting friends so did not need a sea view or exceptional facilities. I wanted a good hotel with private shower and toilet, decent breakfast and comfort. The Ardyne fitted all of these needs.

Sometimes Alfie the dog mooched around for food - you have to like dogs if you’re staying here.

Great location. Ideal for solo travellers - friendly staff and guests. If I was travelling alone I would return here for the friendly warm welcome.

The guest house was very well maintained, the staff were impeccable and took time to talk to me (which I really appreciated). The welcome book had tips for evening dining too.

Although my room was small it had everything i needed.

Great choice for breakfast, continental and cooked. 20 min walk from the town and on a bus route if needed. Fantastic views from my room. Very quiet. Owner very accommodating with great customer service skills.

Great location, great view of the water. Great host, really friendly & helpful. Good breakfast choices. We cycled everywhere easily. Recommend Bute Yard pizza and Cafe Tazza if a little pricey. Also an excellent dinner in Kingarth Hotel.

Lovely property on a raised bank with a stunning view over the bay. The owner Jane was lovely, nothing was too much trouble. Super friendly, all the while maintaining a very pleasant relaxed atmosphere throughout. It certainly helped make a memorable trip.
