parking is sometimes an issue when its busy but we managed every time we returned.

all the food at the anchor is excellent and served by friendly, helpful staff. the rooms are large and well kept. the pub itself has lots of facilities, games and plenty of outside seating areas. there is often live entertainment which can be noisey.

That after a long journey we had to climb a narrow staircase. My own fault for not booking earlier. It was a BH after all!

It was a great wayside inn. I would prefer accommodation with no stairs, but apart from that, it was a friendly little place. Actually the staff told us they once catered for 700(!), but it gave me the impression of littleness, cosiness. I'd choose it again if I was that way.

The bathrooms need a bit of an upgrade but all the facilities work so it's just aesthetic really.

Room was clean and had everything you could need. The bed was comfy and it's a very good distance to Sandringham as we visited for a concert. We stayed for lunch before heading off, the menu was large enough with plenty to choose from and the food was hot and stayed hot which is amazing as no one likes thier food going cold too quick and the price is reasonable. Staff were very friendly, and breakfast was fanatic they catered to my dairy intolerance with oats milk and even made sure the eggs were milk free. Which was something I wasn't expecting and was a great thought. I'd recommend staying here if your visiting Sandringham it's a great base.

Cleaning of bathroom and room maybe could have had a little more attention, but would definitely stay again.

Extremely welcoming staff, room across the road from pub so away from noise. Easy to park. Bedding and towels clean.

Bedroom was a bit tired, mold in the shower shower head sprayed in all directions. The bathroom sink was so small had to fill the kettle with a glass. The kettle had to be plugged in behind the bed. Cups were tiny. Tv remote was broken and really delayed changing channel. Outside was painted grey and looked very uninviting old and tired and the carpark was small.

The outside looks nothing like the image above, but the inside downstairs was fantastic! Breakfast was lovely, and a comfy bed

Our room felt quite small, partly because there was a single bed in it, as well as the double bed. The floor was noticeably unlevel and the electrical sockets, were in a strange position and not user friendly for the bedside cabinet.

Breakfast was good and the staff were attentive to our needs.

No hot water in the morning even though they knew before closing time that the boiler was not working but there was “no one there who had a key to get in to it”. Cold showers are envigorating but not everyone’s cup of tea. We had to phone the Anchor to get the music turned off at 11.45 pm but it came back on before 7.30 am 🙄

    Breakfast very nice, staff friendly

The bathroom in room 14 is very small. The shower was tiny, my son who was 6ft 2 couldn’t use it

Location was good, comfortable main double bed, plenty of parking. I needed to collect the keys early to go to an event and that was no problem

If you are allocated a room in the building across the road from the Inn, parking can be a bit tight. We parked in the Inn car park so getting our cases across the road and up the narrow twisty staircase was a bit of a faff but not too difficult. To be fair, the lady of the house did escort us across the road and offer to help getting our bags upstairs, so no complaints. The room we stayed in could do with a bit of modernisation but all in all, not bad for the price.

Full English breakfast was huge and very tasty. Couldn't finish it. The dinner choices were good and the food was excellent quality and large portions. If you are a fan of jerk, give the king prawn skewers a try. You won't be disappointed. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. Finally, the staff were all really friendly and helpful.
