Bit tired and needed some update’s. Accommodation is upstairs and busy pub downstairs meant there was some noise but not too late into the night.

Location was great for us as visiting families. Breakfast was adequate. Gardens were nice to sit and have a meal and drink. Staff friendly and helpful.

So, it is noisy not only from functions .but when they finally finished staff banging around early morning, really noisy .. I expected it becouse of pub music. But I did not expect to hear staff banging round and cleaning up early hours.. When I say noisy, it's really noisy shame as good value and staff were lovely..just need to think about guests when clearing down

Room desperately needs some basic maintenance, eg. Towel and shower rails loose.. It was hot and there was no fan so the room was very stuffy with all the windows open. Pub has no real ale and is not cheap. They don't answer messages on the booking app.

Reasonable value for money and provides basics for overnight stay. Breakfast ok, but no cereal etc

The shower in our room was poor, it had very low pressure. Barely a trickle of water. The bathroom needed ventilation, the fan didn't work and it didn't have a window.

Good location, parking onsite and on the streets nearby. Great pub and beer garden. The bed was comfortable and the room was large.

This is a great hotel to stay at, especially if you are on a budget. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. They have all the facilities you would expect. Pub below the rooms is large, but not too noisy and serves a good range of beer and food. The free breakfast is very good.

The bathroom cubicle is very small. I stayed in the guest house previously, and that is quieter.

Although the room was clean and tidy, it was all rather tired and in need of some "p-zazz". But then I was only paying £50 including breakfast.

Breakfast was made fresh to order, not pre-cooked buffet style. Nice location overall, with lots of accommodation spaces for functions & events.

No breakfast on the first morning, apparently the chef hadn't shown up. This was at 8.30, breakfast was supposed to be from 7. No backup plan put in place after an hour and a half. Spoke to staff at the front desk later in the day about this, they didn't really seem to care. Hallways and rooms are in a bad state with paint falling off the walls. Bed was rubbish, I've thrown out better mattresses. Toilet/showeroom combo could be best described as a portaloo. Toilet was also leaking into the shower tray, wasn't standing in that barefoot!

Bar, restaurant and outdoor areas are nice. I guess that's why there's more photos of them than the rooms

Accomodation, whilst perfectly serviceable for sleep, wasn't great. Tiny raised toilet/shower area difficult to use safely.

The rooms were really dated and in need of an update. The beds need more comfortable mattress and carpets in bedrooms stained and thread bare

The heat in the rooms above the kitchen and bar was unreal, especially in the stairwell. The room had obviously not been cleaned either, I checked in around 7/8pm so there shouldn’t have been any excuse as to the cleaner not doing it. Bin was still full from the previous occupant and also his used towels were on the bathroom floor. The bed was also ‘made’ not to a fresh standard so probably the previous occupant just fixing it when he got out of it. Good job there was a second bed in the room

Rooms were very basic, thread bare carpets, very tired decor and beds a little saggy. Could add a few extra items such as mirror in room with cabinet. Paintwork needs attention

No mirror or fan in the room. The carpet could have done with a hoover and there were hairs in the bathroom and on the beds. I was glad to have remembered to take my hair dryer.

Someone showed me to my room on the top floor and carried my case. The venue is good for the evening - outdoor area, seating, pizzas, fish pond. They need more female toilets though.
