There wasn't anything I didn't like. Breakfast would be nice but there are places to eat very close by. Initially I thought it might feel claustrophobic as the rooms and guests are in very close proximity. A family were staying in the next rooms and I thought I might be disturbed but they very politely and considerately observed the house-rules about not making too much noise. If guests behave responsibly then there isn't a problem.

I booked the guesthouse online when I realised that my planned train connections wouldn't get me home on the day I'd intended to return. So I wanted reasonably priced accommodation for my unexpected overnight stay in Oban. The Tanglin proved to be more than 'any port in a storm' but a very comfortable base from which to explore the town and surrounds. I did not meet the proprietors but they sent me some very helpful messages and left the key in an envelope for me to check in. The instructions they provided were very clear and the room was very comfortable indeed and excellent value in such a popular tourist destination. The guesthouse has a homely and individual 'feel' with interesting decor that didn't feel at all 'corporate' or standard - a nice touch of individuality. I recommend it.

Flight of stairs if not mobile.

Quiet. Private parking in lane behind property. Old but clean and comfortable. Not far from centre of town and ferry. A long walk but day parking available for a fee, 7.5 pounds for the day near the terminal. Limited street parking. 4 hour limit.

Beds were a bit hard and didn't realize that it was a shared bathroom. Was not bad at all as we only shared with one other room!

No fridge, warm water had like no pressure at all, heater had a valve that was not reachable 😂

Close to city centre, self checkin without problems, plenty of private parking (at least in off season)

Everything suited us just fine, I was in Oban for a Hospital procedure on the Friday. My cousins and niece took me to the Hospital and one stayed with me each night then brought me back home as my husband also has a health problem at the moment. The stick is a present for my husband so he may take up your offer and have a look at others.

Location suited us. Quiet. Not disturbed.

A snib on the bedroom lock. The blurb said sheets and towels were extra. They were not extra, indeed, towels for every occasion were provided and replaced as often as you wished!

No breakfast but good local recommendations.

My room needs overall renovation and I’m no fan of carpet in guest / hotel room. Very small „family“ room and no chair to sit on.

Location was convenient, close to everything in Oban. Great if you don’t want the „hilly“ Guest Houses in Oban. Super nice staff and owners.

We appreciated our stay and it was a very convenient and safe location. Room was a tight space for two but had everything we needed for our short stay (which was a reservation in Oban to get us over to Iona after arriving in Glasgow) Didn’t meet host but connected on phone and she was very helpful. We could walk to everything and room had TV, good lighting, clean bedding and toiletries.

One thing where I had little problem was that the bathroom was not attached with the room. 2 rooms shared one bathroom

The breakfast offerred was Continental and not a cooked breakfast, although saying that, it meant we got out early to start the day.

The location was peaceful yet close enough to the main street to access everything. The tea/coffee tray was very much appreciated. The room was very comfortable and perfect for our needs.
