Location was stunning, just perfect for us walking Hadrian's Wall Path

Felt a bit ignored at dinner and had to keep trying to get staff attention to be served. Kind of felt it was because I was a solo traveler as bigger tables seemed to be getting the attention. I was charged for a packed lunch in the morning, even though I had cancelled it the night before.

Trying to get the luggage from the car to the room was difficult.

Location was stunning. Room was good but a bit tired. Shower was very good, breakfast was good, access to the room was not too easy.

Perfect location to end DAY TWO of our Hadrians Wall walk - absolutely shattered and a welcome drink in the lovely bar and some quality food in the restaurant. Superb staff and the bedrooms are very good. Nice hot showers and good wifi.

We were hoping for a slightly earlier start with breakfast on Saturday morning, but it wasn't a major issue.

Great food, clean and comfortable room and lovely location on the river and near to the Chesters Fort site.

Good food for dinner although my meal went to a dinner that arrived after me. When I politely queried it the staff member got on the defensive saying 'I can't speed up the kitchen'. He later apologised for the mix up and took off 10%. Mould in shower.

Tired decor especially in the corridor. Tired parts to our twin room. We booked late but the hotel didn’t seem full the offer of a river view room would have been nice

The room was too hot to sleep comfortably even with a fan as only one window opened at the bottom slightly.

The staff were outstanding and created a lovely environment. The food was of a high standard, including breakfast, and the location is stunning.

No complaints. Only downer was that the leisure centre is being refurbished and could be several months before it reopens.

Location superb, staff friendly and helpful, meals were really good. Stayed here many times and always enjoyed the experience.

The rooms need a spruce up - I know that the property has recently been brought and there are plans to upgrade the whole place.

The rooms were a little basic for the price especially the bathroom which needs a revamp although everything worked fine shower etc

Pool is closed as is part of the garden. The garden that is open is very nice! 10am checkout is harsh according to my teenager!!

Fabulous location next to the river and perfect to visit Hadrians Wall. Our twin room was spacious, quiet and beautifully clean. Dinner was good. Very dog friendly

The room toilet set was loose and the shower gel dispenser empty..........but very minor points that didn't impact the enjoyment of my stay. Overall very good and highly recommended.

I was walking the Hadrian's Wall Path and stayed for just one night. I booked the Dinner, Bed & Breakfast deal. Overall very satisfied with welcome, service, accomodation and food. The view from the restaurant over the beautiful Chollerford bridge was a great and the food very tasty and excellent value for money.

The breakfast was lacking in that a lot of the cooked food was not replenished often or frequently enough for different people attending breakfast. There was a lack of hashbrowns, mushrooms and other hot dishes, that were meant to be part of the cooked breakfast.

The room was lovely and very comfortable. It would have been nice for the bathroom to also have a bath, however the view over the river was great.
