Beautiful hotel that sits perfectly within the surrounding countryside and village of Evershot. Quintesentially old school English in style and hospitality, with moden amenities. The staff were so friendly and responsive, the breakfast was great and the bbq on Friday used premium cuts of meat and was delicious. We also had dinner at the Accorn inn, their sister establisment, which is a great addition to Dorset's incredible food scene. The suite we stayed in was great, with a beautiful 4 poster bed, fireplace and two bathrooms. The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding countyside and some of Dorset's best attractions. Would love to stay there again.

we stayed here with our families the night before our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. We had a private dinner in the conservatory and drinks on the lawn. the whole experience was just perfect. the staff were amazing. everyone’s rooms were comfortable and clean, we just loved it.

The property inside is a little dated and the location is quite far away from anything else, except the Acorn Inn. Therefore there isn’t lots to do in the evenings.

The property had lovely grounds, with tennis courts and a spa. The staff couldn’t help you more, they were brilliant. The beds were comfy. Lots of parking and space.

The flies in the swimming pool, we went into the spa at 10.30am and there were quite a few around the edge of the pool, that hadn’t been cleaned away.

The grounds are beautiful with lots of private spaces to sit. The hotel was decorated beautifully and the food was good especially the summer Friday night BBQ. The bed was so comfortable and we stayed in a king bed room and the bathroom was lovely. Best bit was the staff, they are all friendly and happy to help you out. Highly recommend this place. Lovely having a small spa on site too.

Only downside was the decor... in need of updating as furnishings in bedroom was very rather "tired". Bedhead was stained and armchairs patched. But still a lovely country house hotel.

Excellent hotel with lovely pool and spa. The food was a bit pricey but excellent. All staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely return.

That i couldn't stay longer

I booked this hotel for a special break to mark my 70th birthday. My choice could not have been better. From arrival and throughout our stay, everything was just wonderful. Food and drink were delicious. All staff courteous and attentive.

Tired room and bathroom, would have preferred a shower to a bath. I know we were in a dog friendly room so we can understand it not being so plush.

Lovely reception team, the GM also met guests through the stay, including myself. The team in the whisky lounge were great too. Also the kind chap in the car park! Peaceful location, loved the Norman built church St Osmund's, and everyone in the village were also so charming. I needed a rest and I gifted it here. Thank you!

Very minor nit - took a little bit of back and forth to find the entrance to the car park (small writing on the hotel sign) but really wasnt a big issue and was very easy to park once we found it (turn right just past the hotel and up that road a bit, and there you are).

A beautiful country house hotel. Super friendly staff and absolutely stunning gardens. Not to mention the food which was off the charts (including at the pub - the Acorn Inn - which is also owned by the hotel)

Liked everything about the place.

Very relaxing place, it's got some kind of chilled out magic going on! The staff were all very polite and friendly, food is good, and the wine choices great. Whisky lounge too, if you're inclined to the hard stuff. My wife enjoyed the spa. The room was high quality, the free standing copper bath was especially amazing. Loved the attention to detail. Nothing to fault, we'll be back.
