If you are a light sleeper it might take time to get used to music from the bar until 10.30pm and weekend revellers until early hours, then traffic, road sweepers start from 6am some days. The road is closed on market days (Thursday and Saturday) which can make finding the apartment difficult if in a car. You do need to be comfortable with stairs as the apartment is on first and second floors.

Beautifully modernised old building right in the centre of town so very easy to get to sights, shops, restaurants and buses for exploring further afield. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, a stock of tea, coffee and sugar. Well equipped kitchen. There is overnight street parking across the road from the apartment and longer stay parking within 6mins walk. And of course being so close to the castle.

Fantastic location, clean and tidy apartment, really close to local shops, Morrison store just 2 minutes walk. Comfortable and well maintained apartment. Close to all tourist attractions of Northumberland. I'm sure that we will come back there. Thank you very much 👍😊 I can recommend this apartment without hesitation.

Definitely plenty of noise from the pub downstairs until 10.30 so would need to be careful of who was sleeping in the bottom bedroom and definitely not young children or anyone who likes an early night.

Wonderful property in the centre of town. Very large living space and came with good facilities. View over Alnwick Castle added to the feel for the place. Beds were very comfortable.

Upon arrival, the heating had been switched off. It took a good 12 hours to warm up the accommodation.

The bar noise from below & noises from people outside are both definitely audible through the one bedroom, as the listing states. Our trip was end of November, and because the heat was off when we arrived it was quite cold and took a while to warm up. The schedule it's set to once turned on shuts off at night -- which made it very cold in the middle of the night. Doesn't take away from the value of this venue: just be aware of the heat settings!

Lovely location. Very spacious. Everything you need is provided; clean, and organized. Close to loads of restaurants, grocery stores, shopping, etc. Castle view is a fun bonus.

There was nothing not to like. 10 out of 10 for everything.

The house is in an amazing location and was absolutely spotless. All the bedrooms were nicely furnished, the living room area was a great size and the massive kitchen was fully equipped with everything you could think of. Early evening, there was a tiny bit of background noise from the pub below, but only a muffled sound which stopped before 10pm. Flawless booking process and great communication from the host. Would highly recommend this stay.

Very central. Great roomy apartment. Lovely and clean. Very handy for the castle. Free parking for 24 hours close by. Loads of lovely shops, galleries and restaurants. Would recommend. Would need to be able bodied, due to the steps though. We had a fabulous holiday.

Nice location in the centre of the town. Spacious rooms and a lovely view from kitchen-dining room looking out towards Alnwick castle. Well equipped kitchen and good sized dining table. We were a party of 4, and the Sofa bed in the lounge provided a useful and decent size fourth bed and apparently quite comfortable. And the bottle of prosecco waiting for us on arrival was very welcome There was a small amount of traffic noise audible on1st floor but only from about 8am, and as coffee lovers, it would have been nice to have some coffee making facilities but otherwise excellent.

Access, but that's not the owner's or property's fault, it's simply the location and isn't a problem.

Location is spot on, just off the main High Street. Property is beautifully furnished with many original features and has everything you need to be comfortable. There's a bar below but noise is minimal and their licence is only till 10pm and they are respectful of that. All in all, a great place - highly recommended.

pub underneath was a bit noisy until 10 pm but it didn't bother us at all. had to fish to find things to say that were negatigve.
