The rooms were quite small and bathroom was so tight as well all a bit closed in. No air con just fans and when I stayed it was roasting so wasn’t the best night sleep.

Not a problem for me, but be aware that there are stairs rather than lifts to 1st and 2nd floors. As other reviewers have said, the bathroom is on the small size, but that was no problem for a solo traveller.

Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Despite being next to a busy main road it was quiet - double glazing works well. Surprisingly close to the centre of Manchester and its attractions. It was only about a 20 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly station and under ten minutes from Manchester Victoria. At least one really good pub nearby (New Oxford, off Chapel Street).

The toilet seat in my room was very loose and I had problems with the flush, to the point that I had to get the receptionist to show me how to use it. There was a nack to it and it worked once I figured it out, but it was an extra performance, EVERY flush. Also I reported the toilet seat issue on day one, to be told they would get someone to fix it the next day and I arranged a time. No one came and when I checked with reception, I was told the maintenance person didn't turn up, yet they didn't tell me that. I had to work with a faulty toilet seat for the rest of my stay, which was several days, which was manageable but not enjoyable. It should have been fixed before I got there.

I've stayed at this hotel before and not had any issues to the point that I rebooked. There are takeaways just round the corner and it's within a reasonable walk from the city centre. The bed was very comfortable and reception staff were very friendly and helpful most of the time. I was also able to get a late check out which I needed and it was easy to sort out parking in their car park, even though it's extra.

The room was mostly clean but some old hairs left in the bath quite large ones, and the spare pillow in the room had stains on it. You also have pay for parking and it’s not cheap. I haven’t had to pay to park at a hotel I’m staying at before.

Some areas in the bathroom could do with a more detailed clean, shower cubicle door area was black and the drain didn't work, had to stop the shower several times to let it drain. Also a sheltered smoking / vaping area would be an advantage.

It was quite a noisy area but if you shut the window it does block out much of the noise.

Very calm and smooth experience checking in, getting breakfast, checking out. Hotel could do with a brush up and refresh of bathrooms but everything fairly comfortable, I always like having a kettle.

Great location for the AO Arena and into the centre of Manchester. Rooms were basic but clean and the big bonus was the wall mounted fan as the weather is quite hot at the moment. The staff were fantastic and very helpful.
