Shower wasnt great, the room was very hot even with the fan and window, it wasnt hot outside. The reception staff on arrival were not very friendly. But better later in the afternoon. Room was very dusty, lots of spiders.

The hotel itself is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, the room was big.

Decor in places is tired. No bottled water or shampoo in the room. Nasty coffee in the urn at breakfast. Loo in the clubhouse disgustingly dirty. Poor ambience in the dining area put me off eating there in the evening.

Location excellent. Pool area very good. Breakfast good choice.nice as hoc seating areas and nice to have the golf clubhouse for sitting outside

Room service on a daily basis is not available unless you ask at reception. We asked for the tea and milk to be replenished and it did not happen. It would have been good if there had been a radio in the room.

Excellent apart from the toast. The toasters either burnt the toast or it was soggy. One person’s actually caught fire . That machine was removed by the following day.

Diner was poor not the quality you would expect from a 4 stars hotel. Much better the breakfast. Cleanliness not great a lot of dust and death insects all over. The place is in need of a good overhaul.

the place is in need of some updating, it is an old building but with a bit more of care it would be fantastic. The single beds were very comfortable but the room was stuffy. The windows do not open fully and they were dirty. A pity. Breakfast excellent. Pool area very good SPA was undergoing some repairs and was closed.

I have been there before , and I must say it wasn’t as good as before parts of the room and hotel a little tired and need smartening up , still in good location. Must admit didn’t eat at the hotel meeting people elsewhere . Staff very nice and helpful.

The room was stiflingly hot, there was a fan but it wasn’t very effective The bed was hard and uncomfortable The spa was small and a bit disappointing The hotel seemed understaffed. The lady on reception was very helpful and friendly but was having to cope with long queues of check ins and enquiries. I asked for extra pillows 3 times, I heard her ring the request through but it wasn’t fulfilled. I had to go down to collect them myself.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Great location for visiting Norwich and surrounding areas Very clean Large room Lovely bathroom

Staff on reception on check in not friendly that night, being told on check in no available breakfast ‘slots’ ! windows in the room were filthy, 10am check out or pay extra £10 an hour, I would not stay here again far better places to stay only stay here if you are going golf or have more than 2 nights to use facilities

Grounds and rooms were quite large 👍 Check out lady was lovely so she made up for the abrupt check in lady!!

Dated, the room smelt funny, almost like cat urine, there were guests with animals, a lot of the communal areas needed a good clean, dusty and dirty windows, mould in the pool area and the jacuzzi didn’t work.

Good location, staff were excellent and very busy as they needed more staff. The breakfast was good and good value for money.

The rooms were very hot and stuffy, the bed and bathroom clean but the furniture needs updating my fridge didn't close so no use to keep items cold and dust around fixtures and stains on the sofa bed in room 314 .. this did not look good ?..also disappointed the jacuzzi was broken but this was not stated on booking site and we were looking forward to using this and lifts did not work. When asked for a robe was told we would have to pay £7 per person...So don't think was value for money for what I paid. Needs maintenance outside garden tables and chairs need a good lick of varnish and some lighting and plants would make it look more inviting. Damp marks on walls.

Pool sauna and steam room nice in a nice setting old building with a lot of history Bar reception areas nice. Staff were friendly Breakfast ok. So for this reason I put smiley face.
