Not many veggie options (e.g. veggie bacon or sausage etc) for breakfast - could be something to improve but not a deal breaker. No fridge in the room, despite needing one (to store medication), could be improved for a 4* hotel

Amazing hotel - great facilities. Could not believe the size of the room - wow!! Huge!! Fantastic spa and pool, lovely sauna, steam room and hot tub. We didn't pay a lot for 4/5 nights and it far exceeded our expectations. Great breakfast for meat eaters, lovely bar and great drink prices - nothing felt 'a rip off' and welcoming staff.

The room was nice and spacious, and everything was very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. The view from the window looked out onto a rooftop/patio, so it wasn’t particularly great, but the facilities more than made up for it. Tea coffee facilities were great. The spa and swimming area were excellent, definitely the highlight of the stay. The spa staff, in particular, were wonderful; they always greeted us with a smile whenever we went in or out, which really added a welcoming touch. The rest of the hotel staff were generally okay, though I felt it would have been nicer to see a bit more warmth and friendliness. One small downside during my visit was that the lift wasn’t working, which was a little inconvenient. Overall, I had a beautiful time here. I would definitely visit again and recommend this hotel to others.

Booking.com need to make it clear that the price DOES NOT include the photographed pool or spa area/gym WITHOUT paying an additional cost to the hotel. Massively deceptive, leaving me feeling swindled and without option to cancel as it is non-refundable. Not a happy BOOKING.COM customer

Odd experience with a waitress who took AGES to bring out our desserts and wouldn't tell us why LOL. The manager came to our table, was extremely apologetic and kindly offered us a refund. The lift didn't work but they did offer to help us with our luggage, which we appreciated. The bathroom was clean but had a damp smell of unknown origin.The grout on the outside of the shower base needs to be redone as it looked mouldy. And the seal along the bottom outside of the sink lifted, so water was leaking out.

Used to visit Sketchley regularly in the past but stopped for a while as standards dropped. Thrilled to see how much Sketchley has since improved! Beautiful refurb since last visit. Lovely room as always. Brilliant breakfast service and food. Dinner was great. Mostly excellent staff. Spa and pool absolutely brilliant with lots of safety mats and all facilities working well. Really pleased to see the leisure decor refreshed and that the floor of the pool on the once deep end has now been raised. This is very good for safety as there is no lifeguard.

No shower gel in the bathroom but not the end of the world as I luckily packed my own

The spa was a real highlight. The exercise class was fantastic! The room was a great size , clean and comfortable. The water and biscuits in the room were a nice touch.

Payment for pets per night rather than one off payment and payment is required to use the pool

Booking through Booking.com causes extra charges at the hotel. Extra charges of pets per night which was not mentioned and payment to use the pool and gym is alao required

The Spa times for 14-16 year olds could be a little longer than the standard kids usage times even just an hour longer to allow more time to use facilities throughout a stay.

All the staff from start to finish were extremely attentive. Clare in the restaurant went above and beyond to make sure allergens were checked for my daughter throughout our stay. The childrens cheque book was a really good idea.

The health spa was good value for money however it did need some tax with broken stairs in the pool and some areas around the pool needed some cleaning

We were placed in room 166 which was well away from any possible noise, which was great. However there was no view from the window what so ever. Didn't really detract from our stay but it's always nice to have something to see outside.

Everything was as expected having visited before. Room was clean and tidy, staff helpful, and breakfast was lovely. The spa always helps for complete our stay.

Hours for children to use the pool area are restricted - we would likely have stayed in the pool area all day otherwise; however, I am sure adults travelling without children much appreciate the restrictions!

Comfortable and clean room with a spacious bathroom. The restaurant was great - luckily, we timed our breakfasts right but some people did have to wait for a few minutes for space in the restaurant to be able to get theirs. The breakfast itself was great - lots of variety and quality food. We also ate in the lovely bar area, which was fairly priced and has a good menu. We loved that you get a £5 bar voucher if you forego turndown... although we forgot to claim our voucher! The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive to the town of Hinckley. The pool is a good size, with a lovely sauna, steam room and hot tub jacuzzi. Towels are provided in here, which was very useful. Overall, a really great hotel. Thank you :)

Unable to use the fridge in the room....although there was one, it was locked and staff said they were no longer used. Weird!

The pool & spa are fabulous. Lovely big room and great bathroom. Excellent breakfast.
