How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Water for the bath/shower took a bit of time to warm up
Anna, the manager was lovely. she was very helpful and obliging. cleaner was also friendly. Location was perfect, bus stop very close and connected with buses to get around the island. The beach is on the other side of the road where you can also walk along the promonade to St Helier one way or St Aubin the other way. Breakfast was plenty with cereal, toast and full English. Had various useful things making it feel a bit home from home, towels for the beach, umbrellas, a fridge to store food and a nice sitting room.

The main road was very busy, but this was the compromise of having the corner front facing room with a lovely partial sea view from both windows. Some fresh fruit on the table would have been nice alongside the fruit juice.
Great location, which made travelling by bus easy as the bus stops were literally on the doorstep. The end corner room gave us a partial sea view from both windows. The beach was just across the road. The bedroom was very spacious, with a comfy bed and plenty of pillows. Good breakfast, full English, cereal, toast, tea, coffee, and fruit juice. The cooked breakfast could be customised to suit your own taste, which was good. Anna took our orders quickly, and we didn't have to wait long for it to be served. She was very friendly and even allowed us to leave our bags for a few hours after checking out. We would definitely stay again.

Shower was not very powerful, but was ok for a short stay. Rooms were a bit stuffy but that was the weather.
Breakfast was excellent, staff were friendly and accommodating and location was perfect.

Seawold is a lovely B&B. It is fairly basic but had everything we needed. The decor and carpets are pretty dated but the place is spotlessly clean. Excellent service. Friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast. The lounge has comfy sofas and a shared large fridge for storing your own drinks and food making it really homely. Well placed for bus service and a pub 2 minutes walk.

The guest house could do with an up date.. It was like walking back in time.. Not in a good way..... My job is in construction, so I see what should be certified and what fire risk assessments should be in place.. having extension cables/sockets is a big no !!

We had to wait a few minutes for the water to warm up and the first night was on the chilly side. We got in touch with Anna and she put the heating up and gave us extra blankets. Problem solved!!
Anna was a lovely host. She genuinely couldn’t do enough for us. The accommodation was very homely. It wasn’t fancy modern hotel style, but it was cute, friendly and gave a warm welcome. Breakfast was lovely and the whole thing was great value for money. The bus stop couldn’t be any closer and the local amenities are great. We had a lovely stay, our host was the best thing about the place and she genuinely cares about your holiday, before and during the stay.

The shower was not great it it was adequate .
Great location and close the several bus routes . We had a large room with comfy beds. The place is not super smart but friendly and comfortable close to the off-road cycle path and walkway by the beach. The beach is fantastic

We had a toilet and shower in the bathroom but having the sink in the bedroom was not great. I'm not sure if other bedrooms had complete bathrooms but ours didn't.
I hadn't realised that the breakfast was Continental but there was plenty of food available to eat. The location was ideal - close to the beach and perfect for getting to see some of the attractions that Jersey has to offer. The guest house was clean although the overall decor could benefit from being updated.

The sink being in bedroom was not idea as we are brother and sister the hot water was no good there should be grab rail in the bathroom.
