Although it was helpful to have tea, coffee, condiments etc, some of them had seen better days and needed to be thrown away. It would be helpful for these to be checked.

Lovely lodge with everything needed. Handy having the shop very close. We didn't use the other facilities but they were a close distance to the lodge. Great location for exploring Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. Had an issue with access when we arrived but the hosts rectified this quickly and were easily contactable. Would stay again.

We could not find how to put the heating on and I rang the number for the host which was on the booking however it was unobtainable I also emailed but never got a response. Luckily we had a fire in the living room but the bedrooms were cold, it is by the sea in end of Oct! Guests would benefit from an instruction booklet for amenities. It was also not clear about the locked box for the key as there is one directly in front of a shed situated right at the side of the front stairs, thankfully a neighbour came and showed us where it was which was on the opposite side of the gate then showed us how to get the gate open. If it had been dark and the neighbour wasn’t there we would still be trying to gain access.

Location was fantastic and the lodge was comfortable and in a good position in the park. Couple of improvements required that would have rated it much higher.

The lodge is on the front of the park overlooking the sea and although there is a road between the lodge and the sea (& its next to the mini mart), it was surprisingly quiet - and we had the front door of the lodge open most of the time we were in. The lodge was in the perfect spot for us - we just wanted to enjoy the lodge, seafront walks and lovely view every morning. If you want to get in all the activities the holiday park offers, that is all on hand. The lodge was beautifully clean. Plenty of pots and pans etc to cook a decent meal - but we just ate breakfast there and went out to eat. The owner messaged on arrival to make sure everything was okay for us and informed us of a problem that maintenance were fixing. Benes fish and chips in Port Seton were lovely and the Ship Inn in Musselburgh was superb! Dalkeith country park was beautiful (but expensive, so take a picnic!). All in all a lovely stay.

Directions to the facility. Was difficult to find. Challenge to find the keys and one located encountered a temperamental lock box. Explanation on how to lock the door for non-UK persons would help. We do not know about pulling up a handle to lock a door. General Public access to and from the main road next to the "condo" made me uncomfortable.

Had a condominium feel with privacy and all the necessary amenities. Next to the shop which stock all the supplies one needs. Parking next to the "condo" is a great positive. Nice views of the sea.

Everything except the location is very bad. We suffered too much from our staying in this property just for one night Knowing that we had booked there for two nights but we cut this booking on the first day because I had several injuries and skin infections which were most likely due to an insect bite, perhaps a bedbugs because the injuries started to appear on my body after waking up from sleep after the first night of our stay there, and knowing that the owners of the property were not interested with us at all and did not answer any question or inquiry after we found the washing machine out of work and there were no bin bags in the kitchen and we also found the place in general unclean and we will not repeat or think about re-booking in this place ever in the future.

The windows were filthy and a couple were strewn with big streaks of bird poop. The pullout rack next to the cooker was jammed and could not be opened. The left hand shower door in the en-suite bathroom was hanging off. Why were these not picked up by the cleaning staff instead I had to call on maintenace to remedy the problems.

The lodge was stylishly decorated and everything we needed was there: heating, hot water, self-catering facilities, proximity to the beach and easy access to Edinburgh. The host also very kindly gave us a bottle of bubbly and a box of chocolate - great way to celebrate the new year!

Lovely lodge, had everything you needed, very comfortable and a lovely location next to the beach. Was nice to have little extras like cleaning materials, tea, coffee and soap! Very comfortable bed and lovely duvet!

So lovely to have breakfast on the veranda enjoying amazing sea view. Great walking along the coastal path.
