How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

I had a very enjoyable stay—thank you to the whole team for your warm hospitality. One small suggestion that could make the experience even better for guests staying multiple nights: Please refresh the room each day by replacing used towels and restocking the tea, coffee, shampoo, and hand wash. It’s a simple touch, but it would add real comfort and show the same care you already put into every other aspect of the hotel. Thanks again for your efforts!

everything was nice but i encourage the staff to pay attention to change toal and clean day after day for coustometr that booked more than day also bring tea and caff every day and shampoo and hand wish

Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Double room which was a good size, with shower and microwave/fridge. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Car parking available.. Had a pleasant stay again.

Tv didn’t work, I hate watching things on my phone as it’s small and didn’t bring a laptop just in case the channels didn’t work, but they didn’t
Everything was close by, room was big Also the lovely lady at the front desk that checked me and my partner in last night Had a fridge and a microwave in the room

The room was very warm so struggled to sleep. Could do with aircon or a fan in hot weather.
The hotel was ideally located near the pubs and bars that i had planned to go to.

The building generally was very dated and needs refurbishment, carpets along corridor and walls needs an update.
The room was surface clean but needs dusting on skirting boards and behind furniture. Bathroom was clean but bins need cleaning.

Decoration and furniture very outdated and it wasn't a shock just because I had read the reviews. Really needed some refurbish. The shower needs better fixing to the wall. The corners and pipes in the toilet need cleaning. Toilet didn't flush very well. Because of this I think they are overpriced. But if you are all day out and just come in the room for sleeping, it's perfectly fine. I would stay again.
Very friendly staff. Cleaniness. King size bed. Very comfortable bed. FREE parking. Useful to have a microwave and fridge. Kettle available and tea in the room. Spacious room.

Wi-fi was on and off, and when it was on it was very slow. Shower wasn’t working properly, it was difficult to get the right temperature. There was a heater in the room, it was okay but it was a bit difficult to maintain a comfortable temperature. The bedding was a bit stained
