First of all the lady who gave us our key was lovely & very helpful too . The hotel was clean , beds were so comfortable so no complaints there , needs a wee bit of TLC other than that it was a perfect wee stay . The location is great .

United KingdomDecor wasn’t great, but the hotel does appear to be under renovation so I guess in time this will improve. We stayed in the family room, and the shower needs some attention. It doesn’t drain away and over flows if you aren’t super quick. The shower is tiny also. Lots of things attached to the walls seem To be hanging off the walls or not secure. It does seem a little over priced for the standard of the rooms at present. Can’t comment on the rest of hotel as it was a last minute booking and we only seen our rooms. The cleanliness lacks in places also, this definitely needs improved on, but overall it wasn’t terrible. The hotel did have a very strong smell of stale smoke. Not so much in the bedroom but in the stairwells. Side note - would be ideal to add a note on side door advising customers to call on their arrival.
Breakfast in room, fridge available & sky package. Comfortable beds. Nice view of Ailsa Craig. Good locations for where we needed to be.

Irelandno lock on toilet en suite, cable ties holding on curtains, blind on only 1 window and that only came half way down.
no contact from provider. nobody there when we turned up, no notes on who to contact. a local man happened to call in as we called and he rang provider who said he was in Glasgow and we should take a room and key in door. no further contact from provider. The room was clean but furnishings leave a lot to be proud of. Good face-lift required. this is my first negative review and I have stayed in many places. It was our last night on a 12 night stay in Scotland with different accommodation most nights.
