How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

nothing to dislike.
The hotel was beautifully clean and welcoming. Staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. A good range of fresh food for breakfast, beautifully laid out, even with fresh honey dripping from the comb! We were also given a free upgrade. Excellent location, 5 minute walk to High Street Kensington tube station. I will definitely be booking this hotel again when I am next visiting.

Room a little bit tight for size. Not enough ‘atmosphere’ in the entrance are or restaurants
Very comfortable bed. Fabulous meal at Origins restaurant at reasonable price. Lovely views of Kensington Palace. Good breakfast . You can open the window a jar! Robbie playing and singing in the piano bar was great.

OUR FIRST NIGHT ROOM ON 4TH FLOOR WAS A DISASTER , NO SPACE TO HANG OUR CLOTHES AND OVERLOOKING THE ROOF OF NEIGHBOURS BUILDINGS.
OUR FIRST NIGHT ROOM WAS NOT GOOD AT ALL , GOT OURSELVES TO A BIGGER ROOM WITH EXTRA COSTS OFCOURSE AND OVERLOOKING THE PARK , THIS WAS PERFECT WAS THE REST OF OUR STAY . LOCATION IS PERFECT BEING IN KENSINGTON . DID NOT OPT FOR BREAKFAST .

The room was on the smaller size even though i booked a better room with a park view. It was one of the smallest rooms I have ever stayed in.
Staff friendliness, breakfast, cleanliness and location were all excellent. The location was especially good as was the view from our room (we has a park view).

A bit pricey
The location is amazing by the park in the best part of South Kensington. It is in a lovely location and with an amazing park view. It is a very beautiful and cozy hotel, beautiful and large rooms. The beds were so comfortable and very nice pillows. Very courteous staff and really good place to stay in London.

Location great. Wonderful Arabic gentleman on reception on check in who was so friendly. Only problem was we had a sleep in afternoon and the lady cleaning was slamming door open and close. Need a door stop to prevent door noise. Sleep at night was great - quiet and room comfortable.

There was nothing that I didn't like. Was a bit strange that they took a sort of guarantee deposit but they refunded that very fast, so not really a negative experience.
It was a very a very pleasant stay, the rooms are clean and the staff are very helpful. Location is amazing near the park and the bus stop is just Infront of the Hotel making it really easy to move around the city.
