Creaky floor boards and noise from rooms above us. But this can't be helped. Hotel is very old and dated but charming and location brilliant so for a one or two night break it's fine.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was basic, clean and very affordable and in a perfect location. Its old and tired but this adds to it's charm.

I think the daily room prices are getting a bit steep..I understand pay/ NI contributions have increased but the rooms are still pretty standard, well appointed but standard. We have to book through Booking.com as we can’t join a coach trip for the whole journey … ( they DO seem to be excellent value though, especially if your travelling from the north of UK) …we are only an hour a way and no pick up point…we were quoted £160 for 1 night for a twin basic no sea view room..no breakfast..!!!…. We did pick another date which was slightly less in the end as we enjoy staying there so much, so we we’re happy with our stay.

Brilliant hotel…we come for short 3-4 night breaks when there is availability in summer….super staff in all departments and the room cleanliness is excellent….the free car parking is excellent as we won’t park and probably can’t park anywhere else for 4 days..if it didn’t offer free parking we couldn’t go

The parking arrangements should be much better and there should be signs for validating one's car (it has to be done within 20 minutes of arrival or you will incur a £100 fine). The hotel bar closed at 11pm, which seemed too early. The hotel was clearly once a big deal in Bognor, but it really could do with a thorough spucing-up so it doesn't look so tired and rundown in places.

The sea view was pleasant. Breakfast was a traditional one, hot and well served. The staff were pleasant. At times it seemed like we were in a timewarp back to the 70s or 80s, but that wasn't so bad.

It has a major issue with random loud fire alarms going off over night apparently due to people setting them off with showers. Nobody manning the front desk to check what's going on and frankly Faulty Towers was probably better organised. To be honest it wouldn't surprise me if that 0600 fire alarm was a wake up call for two large coaches departing at 0700...

Good location for where we needed and good parking. Close to sea. Corner room was nicely refurbished

Sash widows in room hard to open then keep open, Very hot on our visit,no way to turn off bathroom towel rail,not needed on such a hot day...greatfull for the fan left in wardrobe though.

Reception staff were not very welcoming. The room was quite noisy with the music / singing from downstairs and noise from other rooms. Very busy at breakfast time and unclear where we should sit.

Good central location, near the seafront. Free on-site parking was welcome. Hotel was clean. Bed was comfortable.

security and responses. sitting in room watching tv at 2150 when our door was opened by someone that was clearly not a resident and could only be described as an undesirable who stank of weed. he said sorry wrong room and shot off. reported to evening bar staff as no one on reception. also reported to reception the following morning and was really surprised that reception was unaware of the incident. not sure that you want undesirables wandering about the hotel at night trying doors to access rooms. was also told no cctv in corridors. A really frightening experience. lots of single elderly residents would be unable to ward off an attack.

Check the bathroom shelf before you put anything on it, mine was stuck on with what appeared blu tack or chewing gum.

Hot water took a while to come through the shower was a bit awkward to adjust the temperature on and the TV only had a few channels.
