An incredible location with stunning views. The self-catering apartment was very comfortable and ideal for a few days. Everything had been thought of. The information packs were brilliant for both local walks and car trips. Owner was very friendly and kindly accommodated us arriving very early. Highly recommend.

Peace and tranquility does come at a price, so be prepared that a car journey is necessary for eating out. Nearest cafe was excellent for breakfast, lunches and cake.

The room, the location, and the host (Anna) were all brilliant. We had a really fab couple of days. Everything was spotlessly clean, the location was amazing and Anna was just lovely (as was her cute dog!)

There is (I'm sure it's necessary) a permanently on emergency green light over the stairs in the bedroom area. Do take an eye mask if this would bother you.

Great place. Host Anna was very welcoming . Rowan House was spotless room & bathroom. Comfy bed in an above average large room, plus the Loch view was breathtaking. Great facilities.. very tastey breakfast with good choice selection. Great to have an outdoor space with sun lounger chairs available on loch beach. Would definitely stay here again. All this at a great price .

Road to Carrick abit narrow in places. However, passing places at very regular intervals.

Beautiful view right on the loch, big spacious room nicely decorated, really warm, friendly and thoughtful host who was happy to help us in any way she could.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rowan House. Very quiet and next to an almost serene Loch Goil. Anna was very welcoming and made us feel at home. Lot of breakfast options with a great full Scottish. Room was quiet and beds were comfy.

Idyllic location and well equipped accommodation which was exceptionally clean. Anna welcomed us warmly on arrival and provided all the information we needed to have an enjoyable stay.

The property and location were excellent, our room and bed was very comfortable with a fabulous shower in the en-suite bathroom. The full Scottish breakfast that was provided, included everything you would expect and much more besides, all the food was hot, fresh and homemade where possible. Anna was a superb host, on arrival we received a warm welcome from Anna and the little dog Mac, nothing was too much for Anna during our Two night stay. Anna is very knowledgeable about the local area, including walks, eating out, local facilities, water sports and available outdoor activities. The accommodation is situated within beautiful and quiet countryside in a rural area. We enjoyed our 2 night stay and look forward to returning in the near future, thank you Anna for a lovely stay and we hope to see you soon. Best regards, Chris and Lucinda.

Nothing, all was excellent.

Perfect place for those looking for a cosy place in complete tranquility. Don't miss to go for a swim from the private garden. And go and see the famous Scottish rainforest close by in the community woodlands.

Rowan House was a lovely place to stay. Anna was such a lovely host. Great car parking at the front of the property. The room and facilities were great, and breakfast was delicious. I was in the area for a wedding, so my comings and goings were a bit erratic, but Anna was so accommodating. I would love to come back for a more relaxed break in the future.

Loved everything about our stay

It was a pleasure staying at Rowan B&B. The facitilies were nice and clean and amazing breakfast, views and lovely garden beach by the Loch. We came to celebrate our special day and Anna went above and beyond to meet our expectations - even made my husband a special meal since he got sick and couldn’t eat much. Highly recommend

Beautiful location and the apartment had everything we could possibly need. Comfortable and clean, breakfast was great and Anna was very attentive and hospitable.

Me and a couple of friends came up for a wedding 5 minute walk away from Rowan house at the Carrick Castle estate. The price for 2 nights with breakfast considering its location is absolutely stunning was very reasonable. The breakfast was incredible. Anna and the 2 ladies that served us breakfast were lovely and the little doggie was very cute. The room was a great size (twin room), the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was amazing. Can’t fault the place. If I’m ever over that direction again I’ll be staying at Rowan House!

Lovely apartment, well equipped, comfortable and in a beautiful location on the edge of the loch. Our host Anna went above and beyond in ensuring our stay was the best it could be.

Lovely host, very friendly. Accomodation very clean, comfortable and quiet. The place is situated in a very scenic view amd very peaceful. All you can hear is the the birds chirping in the background. The garden across the B&B is very peaceful where you can relax after a day of gallivanting out and about Lochgoilhead. All in All a lovely place to stay to. I will be back again in the near future. Thanks for javing us Anna x
