TV was a bit rubbish in bedroom(just TV channels not streaming service). No staff at all when we arrived, the atmosphere was cold, corporate and pretty dead in the lounge area.

Very clean and well presented, quiet and private. Easy instructions on how to enter building and private car park. Room was spacious. Good hot shower. Nice big comfy bed.

No staff on site, all contactless service, can sometimes feel a little unsafe as we didn’t realise the area was such a dive, wouldn’t feel safe walking around alone. Worth noting there is no elevator on site, stairs only

Clean and comfortable rooms, vending machine downstairs in big communal area with pool table

I think the kitchen is missing some equipment such as a toaster for example. The shower could be a bit more powerful, although it wasn’t bad.

    Very comfy, slept very well.

Some of the other guests were very loud in the middle of the night, coming in drunk, watching TV, all at 2am on a Sunday night (Monday morning!) , so I did not get much sleep…

Very clean, the rooms offered everything I needed.

Me and my partner loved the location as we were staying nearby to visit Clarkson's farm/shop/restaurant and pub. Everything was within a 30 minute drive which we found very helpful. The price of the room was very reasonable and affordable for us. The bed was very comfy and we slept like babies :). The only thought I had was that as it is a self sufficient hotel. I would have appreciated maybe a small fridge in the rooms maybe. As there is no restaurant on sight but microwaves etc., to keep small fresh foods/drinks in the fridge would be extra handy. Also for security that the foods are safe. Personally I have oat milk in my tea and we did buy some from a local shop but no where to keep it cool within the room. But just small thought to share personally. Overall we had a brilliant stay and the secure carpark is a great asset for piece of mind. Thankyou and we will stay here again in the future.

I can’t say that I found anything to criticise.

Riverside hotel was much quieter than I expected being close to the main road. Secure parking is also a great feature. It is not far from an Asda store, a pub and a couple of takeaways or just a mile or so from the town.

it seemed strange that there was no reception but it worked out OK. I'm not sure how we would have coped if there had been a problem with the room though.

There was no restaurant so we brought our own breakfast which worked out OK for us. We were able to get into the property via the key safe so all was well.

I thought long and hard about this. There are no staff and everything is done by email and text. It has the feeling that it's almost Orwellian/Huxley and as such it makes me feel uncomfortable. There is another way of looking at it by saying its a good business model and this is the modern way. It's up to each person to make their own mind up.

The cleanness of the place and it was situated within walking distance of the centre. Car parking was excellent.

That there is no complimentary water or toiletries. The location is a bit far from any public transport.

I like the autonomy of the stay there... the free pool table was an absolute win.
